@DJasha either that or beat on or not built right. they throw a bigger turbo boost like 18 pounds on stock motor till its about to shit the bed and sell it. soooo hard to find a stock one or even close to stock. i want no motor work done if it had a legit exhuast i wouldnt mind, if it had a boost contorller i wouldnt mind either but thats it. and thats gonna take forever to find

@hotrods100 DSM is American . its not part of that egg-roll shitting rice queen club we call hondas ... the dsm (eclipse) body and the motor are from deimler crisler witch owns part of the American side of Mitsubishi so blame crisler for the Japanese bastard child of an American classic lol

@DankoFury ya leiste lo que dice gusu666? el diseño de la carrocería es JAPONES, solo lo armaron en EU, es como si dijera que el vocho es Mexicano solo porque lo armaron en Puebla, pero el diseño es aleman. Por eso te comento que el eclipse es japones.... lo unico que comparte con los gringos es el motor 420a, que es el de la chrysler (motor de neón). NO creo q no se haya vendido en japón ese carro, si es estrella allá, claro no tanto como el supra o el skyline.

@DJasha You are partly correct. The motor is Japanese and was engineered there back in the mid 80s. The Mitsubishi factory that made the DSMs was in Normal Illinois near where I lived. Most of the car was made in the US but the real important parts were designed and built in Japan then shipped to the factory in Normal to be dropped into cars. They are not 100% American but they defiantly aren't 100% Japanese either.

i don't know about 2g being lighter, i lloked it up to double check and got my 92 fwd dsm weight at the weight station and i got 2769 on my 92 eclipse gs-t....

Nice...don't really understand what you meant by "better"...the only thing a 1g has on a 2g is the 6-bolt and that's easily swapped. Other than that, 2g's are lighter...but the cars are pretty equal. There is no "better."

Wrong. It's actually more like 2500lbs. My car was weighed not 4 or 5 months ago. Weighed exactly 2410 lbs, but I have a few weight reductions.

Stock curb weight on a 1g AWD is 3,180....2g AWD's weight about 2,899 lbs.
