This is one hell of a show. I taped it off HDNET because its a must have and am afraid it will never come out on dvd. The man defines musicality, if there is such a thing
Well stated neorunt! Todd has always shot arrows through my heart with his lyrics...always seems to be expressing what I have been feeling for a long, long time!
This one's tied with "Nearly Human" and "2nd Wind" as my all-time favorite TR album. The only two songs I didn't like were "Today" and "Strike"; TR does a horrible Brian Johnson imitation. This song, however, is one of the most-played tracks on my iPod.
Cincinnati, so picked up Arena last nite. This tune jumped out at me right from the start..The intro and the chord progressions remind me of the good old days of those great TR's moving compostions. Still not sure of the rest of the tunes on Arena, though. Can hardly hear the vocals. . .but, I'm sure that my opinion will probably change after tonight!
what an inspiring song, the kind that Todd lives and breathes and sings...hes dippin back into that deep well within & a great band in synch with him. Onto Columbus in April, see you there!
This song is absolutely about the last year I went through... unbelievable how comparable the lyric is to myself. Todd is, besides God, psychic. I'm sure.
Wow, that was great. Vocals are up front in the mix and the band is playing great. Way to go Todd. Really beautiful and engaging song. Still think you're the greatest!
sweet!!! had my heart and soul..

I'm surprised to see somebody other than Todd taking the guitar solo. Wonder why.

@caraphyllis because the guitar player is the lead guitarist from the Tubes, who is excellent in his own right

56marymargaret,
It seems like he feels so deeply that he's able to put poignant words together with an absolutely beautiful heart-tugging melody.
The Zen Archer fires with arrows that run deep.

This is THE best song TR has done in years...and I say that with some sadness, as I am a HUGE TR fan.

I agree Womack.
Reminds me of my youth, driving the car downtown in the Summer, warm wind, open windows. 'I Saw the Light' on the radio.

I know what you mean and wish I had the 'Courage of my Convictions'.
One day...you'll get where you're going.
Have the Courage.
