@afroman5160 it's not that I don't like products that make my hair thicker, i just don't like THICK PRODUCTS. It makes my hair feel all nasty and clumped together
@viceanterra4 you might wanna ease up just a bit so your hair doesn't get too oily ykno? Try co-washing to help retain some of the moisture so you won't have to use as much
@SkullMan00X lol I think it has to do with the thickness of my hair. My hair's pretty thick so it can appear "thicker" than others with the same length (no homo)
Which can also be a pain because when your hair's thick, it makes it harder to get it in a full ponytail
@DMacversion1 dmacversion1 i wanted to ask u is it good to texturize(blow out, relaxer) ur hair wen growin it out or is it best to go natural cuz my hair is a lil over 3 inches but since its soo thick, nappy n curly it doesint rlly show how big it is nd i was thinkin bout blowin it out..but do u think a blowout is a good idea or just go natural?
@TheSam524942 sorry im so late answering, but it would be more beneficial to stay natural because while relaxing/texturizing, you're chemically altering your hair which can not only make your hair more prone to damage, but you have to be that much more careful with your hair. Any little mistake you make w/ a relaxer can cause your hair to fall out.
As for natural hair, it's more versatile so you're able to do a lot more stuff with your hair. Also it grows much healthier when natural
im trying to grow my hair right now this is about my fifth month and my hair is only two and a half inches and lso my hair breaks alot i mean like at least 200 hairs everytime i comb keep my hair moisturized at all tims but this doesnt not help at all
my hair is really NAPPY and i juss started my hair journey in the end of may and my hair is just about 2 inches..but every single time i pick my hair out it only comes out about 1 and half inches..do you know how to stop shrinkage? if you do please answer back asap..thnk you..
@iluvher81810 its nothing you can really do to stop shrinkage. you can try getting styles thatll stretch your hair like plaits or something, but shrinkage is just something that you gotta deal with. sorry
@navyman4 lol thanks. actually even though im young, i still have much respect for the 70s. Mom even occasionally asks me how old am I because ill walk around the house singing Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, etc. etc. lol.
@eddiehdd well actually, Tea Tree Oil is more of a fungus fighter. So you can still rub it on your scalp for moisture, but it mainly helps for hair lice, loss, or dandruff. While Olive Oil, is mainly a scalp & hair treatment (for shinier, healthier looking hair)
@MrAfroman223 back then i used to just put it in my hands & just rub it in my hair, but depending on the length of your hair, it works better if you part your hair & rub it directly into the scalp.
how much was that big bottle of tea tree? because i got the extra small one and paid like 12 bucks for it....And is it 100 tea tree or a mixture? thanx
@CASHgoon4LIFE1 it depends on how im feeling that day really lol. If i feel like using the Tea Tree Oil then ill use that & the same for the olive oil
Lol that happens to me all the time with the picks loose one buy another one and then u find your old pick laying down in front of your face your hair grows fast though I mean I'm at 7 months now and its about the same length its kinda weird
@AshyeLBowz123 i wish that there was a miracle product. until then, all i can suggest is taking good care of your hair and make sure that its clean and moisturized
yo i've been trying to grow an afro and i started in august, but I've been using a metal pick, no conditioner, and no cream. NOW I'm still trying to grow it but I'm using V05 shampoo and ultrasheen cream for a few months and it still looks the same :( I want my senior pic to be with the afro you got on your hair journey #6. My senior photo is in Novemeber so I have about 7 months to grow it. You think I should start all over and cut my hair or try to fix it and let it keep growing?
@DATRUTH201509 this stuff i bought called "Taliah Waajid: The Great Detangler" because it's a detangler, a leave-in conditioner and moisturizer all in one. And its not thick either. its a light, creamy based product and it shouldnt have a lot of build up or anything like that. See my Hair Journey Update #6 vid for more on it
@94theshiz id recommend a multivitamin like OneADay multivitamins. Multivitamins have all the nutrients needed to stay healthy, including those that produce healthy hair growth
and I've heard and seen alot of good results from Biotin pills. So check those 2 out.
@94theshiz yea its best if you rub it directly onto your scalp because if you just put it directly in your hair, itll make your hair feel all nasty and oily
dmac do you part your hair when you put the oil in your hair, and do you use more than one product in your hair at the same time like hair lotion and oil?
@KevinTVLive first, i use Sony Vegas Movie Studio to edit my vids. so for the audio tracks, they have adjustable audio levels so ill be sure to turn the volume of the video up enough to be heard clearly while at the same the background music has to be at a level thats high enough to be heard, but not too high to the point where you listen to the music more than the actual vid
@SuperMfreeman i cant pinpoint only one product because all the products that ive used so far contributed to it, but if i were to pick one MAIN one, id definitely say that the LeKair Cholesterol Conditioner that ive shown in my past vids DEFINTELY helped make my hair much softer and showed immediate improvement after the first use
@tundari since i got all this school work, work, and christmas to try to situate, the vid is gonna be pushed a lil later. ill try to get it done by next week, but the latest will be christmas time
Lol the same thing to me they always touch my hair its annoys me a lil bit but i get used to it. i like it when its a full perfect puff.... But someone ruins it o well.. Ummm i think im gonna get it rebraided this week ay good luck with the braids ur heads gonna feel a bit tight depended how tight they braid it but you'll get used to it ~ Peace
@KHandlez i usually just put sum in my hands, rub em together and massage it in my hair whenever it's dry, but i know some ppl that rub it directly in their scalp when they have braids. either way is fine
@KHandlez i wouldnt neccessarily say that there's a number one product since everyone's hair grows differently, but if i were to pick something that is still important for hair growth, id say something like a multivitamin. since hair is mainly protein, it would be good to take something containing biotin or vitamin b6 (both essential for hair growth)
but also, be sure to drink plenty of water to keep your insides clean. because what you bring IN your body produces good results in what comes OUT
@TriggaFromTheBeatTV even though it seems like it's taking forever, you gotta have the patience and stick with it. that way you can have the feeling of accomplishment. and sometimes i do get that feeling every now and then, but then i think about how far i've gotten in the hair journey
Nice Hair updates bro. I've been growing mine for about 2 m and 2 weeks, and its about an inch an a half. I cant pull it down to my forehead cuz I got the baby hair thing and a fade so mine won't look as full as yours.
@ZayG56 thanks for the support fam. good to see you're doing the hair journey as well. so u got the taper thing in the front where they cut some of it back?
@DMacversion1 Yeah, and it looks alright but I had grown my hair without really planning on it, so I have a fade too. Do you go to Sallys to get your products and ishh? Thats the only hair place I know round here lol.
@DMacversion1 Damn lol. I'm bout to send you a message cuz' I need some help, I'm bout to get the supplies you got. Also, putting up my hair journey later on today.
man its so nice to see a guy actually going through with it..good luck..and i agree with summy1988.. try corn rolls on yourself when ur not doing anything..just sit there and practice..i had to practice for a little while before i got it..now if i can just learn to do mini twists in my own head I'll be on point..good luck!
@unachicabonita08 lol thanks. And i'm still trying to practice cornrows on myself but it's not going so good so far. I probably need more practice like you said. But i was talking to another friend that said she would braid my hair, so hopefully I can actually get it done this time lol. Thanks for the support.
You should try practing cornrows. I learned how to twist my hair on my own. I think what you're doing is great!!! I talk to soo many men who don't have a clue. Keep it up. :)
@Summyr1988 i always considered practicing cornrows on myself but i can never get it started. After I get it parted I'm always stuck lol. But yeah, thanks for checking out the vid. I really appreciate it. Gimme 2 years or so and I might catch up to you guys as well haha
Nice vid man...that was funny about your pic "expecting you to go out and buy another one" LMAO. Hair is coming along real nice, looking forward to seeing you with the braids whenever the girl is able to hook you up
@TheArtisticGemini i swear thats what happened lol. but yeah, thanks bro. im still trying to catch up with all yall. and i think since i got this job now i might just save up sum money for a professional or something
@BoBSchniderX starting out, i used to shampoo and condition every other day but now i do it every 2-3 days so i can retain some of the natural oils that the scalp produces. And the isoplus, that was the one product i havent used yet. But ask TheArtisticGemini or TheArtisticScorpio since they've used it for years
yo DMAC what's good broo?? man i wish i had your hair texture do it looks so puffy even when you run your hands through it it just stay's up.. Awsome my hair shrinks up alot, like when i get it braided and i take it out it gets straight and looks huge but as soon a i wash that shit with mane n tail deep moisturizing shampoo and the herbal gro conditioner i get major shrinkage.. My hair is really thick.. i was planing on making a video and all but i haven't got my camera back yet from the dude
@crunkidy2 Everyone's hair shrinks when wet, that's why you blowdry it out. My hair is really thick too, but to gain some length back after washing it (when I had a fro) I blow dried it. I have it relaxed now though so it's easier.
@ItsGambitFromBklyn oh you have it relaxed now? cool.. imma keep my hair natural, but even when i pick it out it still doesnt puff out like dmac's to get it like that i have to have it hot combed or braided and when it time to take it out it look huge
@crunkidy2 lol it always looks puffy when its picked out but whenever i take a shower, my hair shrinks/curls up a HUGE amount. If you saw my hair after im done washing it, you'd think that i cut it. lol
but yeah lemme know when you get the camera so i can check it out
@TheJayCity id say about 2-3 days. its best not to overdo it or your hair will feel very oily and nasty (trust me, it aint a good feeling) also you can clog the pores in your scalp
your hair grows fast!! ha yeah i was around 5 months when i got it cut and it was a lil smaller than that. but im growing my hair back. its like a inch n a half long. not that footballs over its not getting cut!!! haha
@jadacris23 thanks i might try that. I conditioned my hair the other day and i used one of those processing caps to put on my head and it kept my hair moisturized while conditioning so I'll try picking up a bonnet and trying that. and thanks. i made it this far and i dont plan on quitting on my subscribers again so im in it for the long run.
@rayraya823 lol i kno. im surprised about the growth too. When I wake up, my hair is always dry for some reason, but I usually use a detangling spray and pick it out. Afterwards I'll use some Olive Oil Moisturizer or Tea Tree Oil (ive been using olive oil lately so imma stick with that for a while) and then it's good for the rest of the day. idk why it dries when im sleep tho. But yeah thanks for all the support, i appreciate it.
i no man... I no exactly what your saying but you got to stay motivated..i fill like cutting my fro cuz its getting old. I only ben growing my fro for like 1 month but i'm trying to stay commited..It's really alot of work to keep your hair healthy maintained and looking good the only way you cannot get tired of it is you just let it go you just dont give a shit about it you dont even mess wit it or care what your hair looks like
Ifu dnt gt shape ups u will get split ends, which calls ur hair to break off, and decrease in growth

@lovenappyhair5 i think id say like 3 times a week or so

@DMacversion1 why 3 times a week? I do it everyday, is that bad?

@viceanterra4 washing your hair everyday can dry out your hair and scalp making it more prone to breakage and dandruff

DMacversion1 1 year ago
Nice Hair updates bro. I've been growing mine for about 2 m and 2 weeks, and its about an inch an a half. I cant pull it down to my forehead cuz I got the baby hair thing and a fade so mine won't look as full as yours.
ZayG56 1 year ago
@ZayG56 thanks for the support fam. good to see you're doing the hair journey as well. so u got the taper thing in the front where they cut some of it back?
DMacversion1 1 year ago
@DMacversion1 Yeah, and it looks alright but I had grown my hair without really planning on it, so I have a fade too. Do you go to Sallys to get your products and ishh? Thats the only hair place I know round here lol.

man its so nice to see a guy actually going through with it..good luck..and i agree with summy1988.. try corn rolls on yourself when ur not doing anything..just sit there and practice..i had to practice for a little while before i got it..now if i can just learn to do mini twists in my own head I'll be on point..good luck!
unachicabonita08 1 year ago
@unachicabonita08 lol thanks. And i'm still trying to practice cornrows on myself but it's not going so good so far. I probably need more practice like you said. But i was talking to another friend that said she would braid my hair, so hopefully I can actually get it done this time lol. Thanks for the support.
DMacversion1 1 year ago
You should try practing cornrows. I learned how to twist my hair on my own. I think what you're doing is great!!! I talk to soo many men who don't have a clue. Keep it up. :)
Summyr1988 1 year ago
@Summyr1988 i always considered practicing cornrows on myself but i can never get it started. After I get it parted I'm always stuck lol. But yeah, thanks for checking out the vid. I really appreciate it. Gimme 2 years or so and I might catch up to you guys as well haha

How often do you shampoo and condition it? And how often do you use the isoplus? i gotta gets me some of that.
BoBSchniderX 1 year ago

My hair is really thick.. i was planing on making a video and all but i haven't got my camera back yet from the dude
crunkidy2 1 year ago
@crunkidy2 Everyone's hair shrinks when wet, that's why you blowdry it out. My hair is really thick too, but to gain some length back after washing it (when I had a fro) I blow dried it. I have it relaxed now though so it's easier.
ItsGambitFromBklyn 1 year ago
@ItsGambitFromBklyn oh you have it relaxed now? cool.. imma keep my hair natural, but even when i pick it out it still doesnt puff out like dmac's to get it like that i have to have it hot combed or braided and when it time to take it out it look huge
crunkidy2 1 year ago
@crunkidy2 lol it always looks puffy when its picked out but whenever i take a shower, my hair shrinks/curls up a HUGE amount. If you saw my hair after im done washing it, you'd think that i cut it. lol
but yeah lemme know when you get the camera so i can check it out

Great video!
How many days out of the week do you use the tea tree oil
TheJayCity 1 year ago
@TheJayCity id say about 2-3 days. its best not to overdo it or your hair will feel very oily and nasty (trust me, it aint a good feeling) also you can clog the pores in your scalp
DMacversion1 1 year ago
your hair grows fast!! ha yeah i was around 5 months when i got it cut and it was a lil smaller than that. but im growing my hair back. its like a inch n a half long. not that footballs over its not getting cut!!! haha
calvin232323 1 year ago
@calvin232323 lol yeah its growing pretty fast. i can tell alot of pll are gonna grow their hair now that football is done
DMacversion1 1 year ago
nice video Dmac i might have to try that tea tree oil
TheOneLove24 1 year ago
@TheOneLove24 thanks Jay, you should try it. its a pretty good product
DMacversion1 1 year ago
looking good bro you should try wearing a bonnet at night thats what i do and it keeps my hair moisturized stay up keep pushing one love
jadacris23 1 year ago
@jadacris23 thanks i might try that. I conditioned my hair the other day and i used one of those processing caps to put on my head and it kept my hair moisturized while conditioning so I'll try picking up a bonnet and trying that. and thanks. i made it this far and i dont plan on quitting on my subscribers again so im in it for the long run.
DMacversion1 1 year ago
@DMacversion1 no problem bro thats what i wanna hear
jadacris23 1 year ago
Damb bro! Yur hair is growin dum fast loll.
How do yu keep yur hair moisterized thruout the night and thruout the day?
Wen i go to sleep my shyt b gettin so dried out lolll
But agen bro keep up the great hair updates nd Ill shout yu out n my next hair journey!
rayraya823 1 year ago
@rayraya823 lol i kno. im surprised about the growth too. When I wake up, my hair is always dry for some reason, but I usually use a detangling spray and pick it out. Afterwards I'll use some Olive Oil Moisturizer or Tea Tree Oil (ive been using olive oil lately so imma stick with that for a while) and then it's good for the rest of the day. idk why it dries when im sleep tho. But yeah thanks for all the support, i appreciate it.
DMacversion1 1 year ago
i no man... I no exactly what your saying but you got to stay motivated..i fill like cutting my fro cuz its getting old. I only ben growing my fro for like 1 month but i'm trying to stay commited..It's really alot of work to keep your hair healthy maintained and looking good the only way you cannot get tired of it is you just let it go you just dont give a shit about it you dont even mess wit it or care what your hair looks like
AfroMusicV8 1 year ago
@AfroMusicV8 true true. i know im not gonna be cutting it anytime soon but it just gets really tiring always having the fro out.
