Manaka didn't chose Nishino because he couldn't bear to see her cry, he did it because she was the one he truly loved. He had feelings for Aya yes, but his feelings for Nishino was stronger in the end.

Junpei shaped the development of each of his friends. But the only girl that helped Junpei grow as an individual was Nishino. Otherwise Aya, would of just followed him to college like in middle school. Nothing would of changed, neither of the characters would be able to develop any further. Although Aya did not get Junpei's heart, she possesses one of his greatest attributes, his dreams and aspirations. So don't be sad guys, its their dream, that allows them to grow and truly find happiness.
Poor Aya , fate is not enough to help her get Junpei. I can find a girl like tsukasa , but I think I can't ever find a girl like aya , cuz she's just too good :) . btw, Junpei is just a selfish idiot. He jealous when Amachi loved her , try to find the way to prevent her from Amachi, but finally he didn't choose Aya....

I read Ichigo 100% manga two times. The first time was 4 years ago, I was unhappy that Junpei chose Nishino, I thought that Toujou was the prefect one because they had same dreams, same goals. However, I just read second time last month. I don't understand whether I was thinking mature or older. Nishino almost gave her all things to Junpei, even she did not have the same dreams as Junpei. She always help the idiot silently and never look for the return. So I think he made a correct choice.
He he...if I ever had to choose between Tsukasa and Toujou I'd choose Toujou man!! She's kind, gentle, smart and MOST IMPORTANTLY...SHE IS ADORABLE!!!!

I think the ending was suitable i agree that althou he was "fated" to be with aya, the story is about choices, and that was junpei flaw and he finally did resolve it he made the choice to pick nishino. Althou i agree if he just kept waiting around and always letting life run its course he would end up with aya because of fate cause she was always closet around him and was she was convient since shes always there but if he ended up with her he would never learned to make choices and take action
Actually I'm here to make it clear to those who have read the manga, since the ending was so vague, although it looked like Nishino is back together with Junpei, but it may just look like it but it never says if they're back together for the 3rd time, so Aya actually still has a chance since he tells her to wait for him. x.x so it cud probly just be just the making of the movie. I hope this makes u guys feel better lol. It was stupid for them to break up for 4 years x.x
In the end, Manaka actually does ask Nishino out and she gladly accepts. For those of you who read the manga, it kind of makes sense since she brings out his best traits and is always there for him. Like Dragon said, she's neither too aggressive nor too shy - the perfect match for Junpei.
Don't get me wrong though, I, too, am an Aya fan and was disappointed . However, Toujou was never able to express her feelings until the very end and unfortunately, it was too late :(
It didn't ruin Ichigo 100%. Toujou was too shy, Satsuki was too aggressive. Nishino is just right. Think about it Nishino went through a lot of pain too. Although i'd be more happy if Manaka choose Toujou but Nishino wasn't that bad of a choice.
Its very true that Toujou sacrificed everything, her education, her career, well not completely but she could have gone to a better place. She loved Manaka and supported him, the manga is Harem so i gues it make sense that Namaka choose Nishino, Nishino was a good choice also so its not that bad. Im a Toujou Fan so im not saying this cause i don't like Toujou.
I'm very disappointed. Man, I can't get over the fact that Junpei chose Nishino. He fell in love with Toujou at first sight. At the exam for highschool, he realized it was her. But he couldn't dump Nishino afterwards or reject Satsuki. I love Toujou. They're the perfect couple, they had the same goal, dream. Yah, ending was major surprise though I was a person rooting for Satsuki. I still never thought he would choose Nishino, I was more expecting it to end with Toujou.
It may be depressing to most of the viewers but he DID spend the most time with Tsukasa and she was the obvious choice. Sure Aya and Junpei have many things in common, but i just dont see a CLICK there. It would have been no fun watching the anime or reading the manga if it was Aya and not the one he really loved.
@ItzBrenden agree with you. I'm happy Nishino was the one in the end. Honestly, when i read the final chapter. I couldn't help but cry. It is the kind of ending that should be in every manga.

@RanmalovesAkane actually when he first saw toujou, he only thought how great it would be to film that. junpei and toujou's only spark is that they wanted to reach their dreams together and thats it. all they ever do is fall and feel up on each other. junpei never commented how great her personality was; he ONLY talked about her panties, dreams, and how hot she was. she never shined like tsukasa beyond that. junpei and tsukasa shared many internal intimate feelings.

She never got to know him outside of the damn club, Thats where Nishino differs from her. She might not have share his dreams of movie making, but she wants to support him never the less, but she will not follow him mindlessly. @RanmalovesAkane Sometimes life It's like that, circumstances drive you apart, and you can't be together even though you have a deeper bond. That doesn't make Nishino a bad pick, she's a great girl too. Something pretty similar happened to me, that's just life. The end it's a little bittersweet, a bit of dissapointment but also the feeling that you just grew with the characters. A fair end to a great history.

I can't believe the author went for Tsukasa just because she was more popular as a character. It really pissed me off. It was very sad too. Personally, the ending was an easy way out and after all that they went through, it didn't feel right. Aya had done everything for Manaka, they were soulmates since they were fated for each other, and still didn't get together. In the end, it didn't make sense at all. Too bad, it could have been a lot more awesome.
Personally, I don't see how Tsukasa could have been more popular than Toujou - especially if you look at how the story is crafted; how Toujou was his first real love. Even though I wish he did choose Toujou, I can at least come to terms with his final decision. The relationship he built with Nishino was one cultivated over time and effort. He could trust and depend on her.
I'm sure if Toujou confessed early on, it would have been smooth sailing from there - considering the feeling was mutual.
Plus, he never really told any of the other girls that he didn't love them.
And what is gonna happen now that he is with tsukasa?

I think the author kind of screwed up when she made nishino and junpei go out a second time. That souldn't have happened as indecisive as junpei is supposed to be.
Maybe the author doesn't want to imitate I"s cuz Aya looks like Iori in I"s. Most people (including myself) would think the main guy usually go with long hair girl. which was quite surprised me he actually chose Tsukasa. I think Aya and Tsukasa are both cute girl and i don't mind either of them for ending. The ending REALLY surprised me, but i respect the author's decision, the ending was OK. so i take it. It's also a good start to change the thinking that main guy should choose long hair girl
@stevenpereyra I thought tsukasa is much more suitable. sure, aya has sort of the same aspirations as junpei, but other than that theres really no other similar traits. tsukasa gets along with junpei pretty well and sacrificed some stuff for him. aya? she doesn't really have a good personality; she's just shy and likes junpei, thats all i see in her. tsukasa has a real personality. most people like aya mainly because of her looks (specifically hair and boobs) and she seems like the "main" chick

Are you talking about the chapter close to the ending? If you are, then it's probably because she wrote 3 series or it's probably because those were the stories she wrote for Manaka.

after chapter 60 in the manga i became a nishino fan because he makes manaka grow as a more mature man able to recognize his feeling s for nishino, but he was still confused with his feelings with aya and nishino, for satsuki fans i feel bad for them satsuki is really sexy but lacks the aura of love that manaka has with aya and nishino, the last 10 chapters where very very enjoyable and unexpected but i was really betting on nishino and manaka to be together!

Yah, ending was major surprise though I was a person rooting for Satsuki. I still never thought he would choose Nishino, I was more expecting it to end with Toujou.

It may be depressing to most of the viewers but he DID spend the most time with Tsukasa and she was the obvious choice. Sure Aya and Junpei have many things in common, but i just dont see a CLICK there. It would have been no fun watching the anime or reading the manga if it was Aya and not the one he really loved.

@RanmalovesAkane actually when he first saw toujou, he only thought how great it would be to film that. junpei and toujou's only spark is that they wanted to reach their dreams together and thats it. all they ever do is fall and feel up on each other. junpei never commented how great her personality was; he ONLY talked about her panties, dreams, and how hot she was. she never shined like tsukasa beyond that. junpei and tsukasa shared many internal intimate feelings.

@RanmalovesAkane Aya was too dependent on Manaka and same goes for him. They could never communicate well with each other. Aya signals confuse and hurt Manaka few times through the series. She never got to know him outside of the damn club, Thats where Nishino differs from her. She might not have share his dreams of movie making, but she wants to support him never the less, but she will not follow him mindlessly. Look up the definition of love~ Oh he turned down Aya because he loved Nishino more

@RanmalovesAkane Sometimes life It's like that, circumstances drive you apart, and you can't be together even though you have a deeper bond. That doesn't make Nishino a bad pick, she's a great girl too. Something pretty similar happened to me, that's just life. The end it's a little bittersweet, a bit of dissapointment but also the feeling that you just grew with the characters. A fair end to a great history.

If only he told Aya how he felt about her, earlier in the story, then I bet that it would have been different, the ending that is.
I'm just hoping that if the wirter decides to continue with the story, he gets to marry Tsojou Aya. Lol even though it might just be a wishful thinking on my part.

I can't believe the author went for Tsukasa just because she was more popular as a character. It really pissed me off. It was very sad too. Personally, the ending was an easy way out and after all that they went through, it didn't feel right. Aya had done everything for Manaka, they were soulmates since they were fated for each other, and still didn't get together. In the end, it didn't make sense at all. Too bad, it could have been a lot more awesome.

Personally, I don't see how Tsukasa could have been more popular than Toujou - especially if you look at how the story is crafted; how Toujou was his first real love. Even though I wish he did choose Toujou, I can at least come to terms with his final decision. The relationship he built with Nishino was one cultivated over time and effort. He could trust and depend on her.
I'm sure if Toujou confessed early on, it would have been smooth sailing from there - considering the feeling was mutual.

Can anybody imagine toujo being with another guy but at hte same time still making movies or scripts with him.
I think the author kind of screwed up when she made nishino and junpei go out a second time. That souldn't have happened as indecisive as junpei is supposed to be.

Maybe the author doesn't want to imitate I"s cuz Aya looks like Iori in I"s. Most people (including myself) would think the main guy usually go with long hair girl. which was quite surprised me he actually chose Tsukasa. I think Aya and Tsukasa are both cute girl and i don't mind either of them for ending. The ending REALLY surprised me, but i respect the author's decision, the ending was OK. so i take it. It's also a good start to change the thinking that main guy should choose long hair girl

@stevenpereyra I thought tsukasa is much more suitable. sure, aya has sort of the same aspirations as junpei, but other than that theres really no other similar traits. tsukasa gets along with junpei pretty well and sacrificed some stuff for him. aya? she doesn't really have a good personality; she's just shy and likes junpei, thats all i see in her. tsukasa has a real personality. most people like aya mainly because of her looks (specifically hair and boobs) and she seems like the "main" chick

I think Junpei was a spineless worm who can't even confess to a girl that he really likes (Aya), I remember him talking to himself saying... "Do you like me Aya? because it would be easier to decide if so", he said this a couple of times when he was trying to decide between Aya and Tsukasa.
I mean what kind of guy waits for a girl to confess first before he confesses? cant he just take it like a man?

Nishino is the cuttiest, Satsuki is the hottest. But Tojo is super cute, super clever, and plus she was fated to be with Manaka....
The ending was amazing but made me feel sad....those two had to be together to be TRULY happy... :(

after chapter 60 in the manga i became a nishino fan because he makes manaka grow as a more mature man able to recognize his feeling s for nishino, but he was still confused with his feelings with aya and nishino, for satsuki fans i feel bad for them satsuki is really sexy but lacks the aura of love that manaka has with aya and nishino, the last 10 chapters where very very enjoyable and unexpected but i was really betting on nishino and manaka to be together!

But in all honesty, it was a surprise. Most harem endings end with the most predictable girl/boy.
And as much as I would've wanted Junpei to be with Aya, this was still an AWESOME manga.

Yep, it's what all harems make you think.
But thing is, it happens in harems too. The final pair wait until the final moment when they confess their love. But in this case, the mangaka steered away from it. So sad. :[

yeah it made me very upset i cried . i couldn't stand the fact toujo didn't get him , her feelings were sincere and honest . but just like the story I's the director said pain builds character . and toujo grew the most , so now that she has that pain , she can Write better . but if she wasn't so passive she could have had him . her speech towards the end had me crying like a bitch. *iv'e only read the manga* this manga taught me to speak up or you may lose your chance.
