Why would he do that without a bench shirt when he is benching.....? It is a sport (powerlifting). Like in football, should you tell someone that they shouldn't wear a helmet? it would make no sense right? There is a difference between how a bodybuilder or joe in the gym would bench and how someone who is performing a powerlifting benchpress would. At times it includes a bench shirt.
@Odium1981 In our continent we use a metric system. It was kg. Anyway, I don't understand why you don't believe, it's quite possible to press that weight. I'm not saying that's easy but it's possible and some athletes just doing it.

@beelzmon Power is tested relative to weight. Lifter 'A' weighs 70kg lifter 'B' 80kg but if lifter 'A' has a 1 rep max of 90kg, and lifter 'B' 95kg then lifter 'A' is the stronger.

Vet inte hur ni räknar men OM alla vikter hade varit 25kg hade de blivit 14x25 = 350kg + stången på 20kg = 370kg. Så det är det ju givet inte. Men även ifall alla gråa vikter är 20kg så blir det 12x20 + 2x25 (om den svarta e 25) = 290kg + 20 kg stången = 310kg. Men om ni kollar noggrant så ser ni olika bredd på de gråa vikterna också så skulle inte förvåna mig om de vore en mix mellan 25kg o 20kgs vikter, don't be so quick on the hating!
@TheArmono bara du räknar med 14*20 + 20 (stången) så är det 300 kg. Sen har vare sig du eller jag nån aning om vad vikterna på sidan är för något, eller vad låsen väger. Finns ingen anledning för honom att ljuga några kg upp.

Watch any bench presser with any sense of correct technique; they all have bent backs and they transfer a lot of the weight through back to legs. It's called "correct bench press technique". You absolutely cannot press these amounts with flat back. Military bench is there for a reason.
Don't get me wrong, that was impressive, as that weight cut me in half, but I can't help but notice the intense bending of your back. It does seem like a lot of bench pressers do this, but as a consistent gym goer I am well aware of the amount of stress this takes off your chest and puts on your back. I don't want to call it cheating, as it may be standard practice, but wouldn't it be more impressive if your back was actually flat?

or you could just use a weightt hat you can actually lift. using shirts is dangerous and dumb. i laugh at people who say shirts are for protextion. using a shirt to lift 100s of pounds over your actual max is not safer.
True! I hope someday there will be a good RAW powerlifting federation that would arrange good competitions raw...but until that, if you want to compete, you have to do it with a shirt.

Tanken har väl funnits länge. Hade en tid ett litet gym med "varuhus" bänkar. hösten 2005 byggde jag då pighouse i farsans gamla svinhus.
