  • Actually, this is a very good example of just why this sim is so inappropriate for racing applications - the lag due to the bulk to move there is horrendous, looks to me to be no more than about 1/3rd G of acceleration - 'magic carpet' as we call it in the industry. For flight sims this is probably more suited, but the racing market should be left to the pro's ;)

  • Chris, there is a real difference between seeing a motion simulation and driving one, in-sync with telemetry data. If you want to arrange a demo to experience it for your self we would welcome your feedback.

SimCraft has a ZERO latency guarantee for our simulators. Our low moment of inertia architecture is explained on how we are able to obtain this performance for simracing at a consumer level price point. More money can always buy you more violent motion for simcrashing.

  • 1) Latency is absolutely not the issue here - acceleration and speed values are key - almost _every_ system out there is 'zero' latency these days. 2) I am a motion sim professional, who has experienced many motion bases physically and authors control software to respond to such telem data - I know what I am looking at in that video ;) 3) $25,000 is not a 'consumer' price point, Motion systems more effective than this (for simracing and tuition) can be aquired for less than 1/5th of that.

  • Our motion simulator development kits with the same motion system for 2DOF starts at $3,000. The consumer would have to provide their own chassis and still have full motion vs. a seat-mover for around $2,000 - $2,500.

The race car grade steel chassis and yaw rotation push the price higher.
