I happened to be standing next to Heath at the bar at the Met Hotel in London in Dec 2004. I remember hearing him telling a friend that he was having terrible trouble sleeping and had been awake for nearly 3 days. He took drugs, sure, but its now known that he was battling primary insomnia for much of his later life. insomnia results in prefrontal glucose depletion reducing impulse control, leading to more drug abuse and hence in some cases more insomnia in a self perpetuating vicious spiral.

Doctors overprescribe these evil things and do not support patients to come off them - all this leads to suicidal thoughts, irrational thinking and hundreds of other sad symptons. heath ledger killed himself, he may not have done it on purpose, but when he sat down in his hotel room and popped wayyyyy toooo many pills and died from the drugs, its probably because he was taking them soo much before this he decided to push the limit and go for more than normal, which killed him. he decided to take all the pills. the pills killed him, his death is a direct result of his choice to take those pills. thus he chose to do what killed him.

I've got Bipolar disorder and you can sometimes appear like you're on drugs (wriggling about in your seat, nervous energy) Heath may not have been Bipolar but he was taking anti-anxiety drugs. I think that calling someone who has mental health problems a dirty crackhead is pretty low. I hope you or anyone you know never experiences mental health problems. They are so crippling and debilitating I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy! They are not something to be laughed at or scorned!
