@juglarlocogmail Grabriel was a white guy, a american civil war hero, raised as a warrior in a ritualistic and traditional family, that's why the Cabal recruited him. He resurrects in Blood 2 as a black woman, the only explanation is "It's a long story".

I wish Blood 2 allowed campaigns for the other Chosen, they were such interesting characters that each had a specialty . Ophelia was fast and stealthy, Ishmael made the best use of magical weapons with his high Focus points, and Gabriella was a walking tank that could take a ton of damage and dish out just as much as should could carry just as much ammunition as Caleb.

Caleb (and possibly the other 3 at this point) can likely be considered a revenant - a sentient creature returning from its grave to fulfill an unsettled goal or mission, essentially a zombie, but retaining its intelligence.

And considering that Caleb is still "alive" after the first *and* second game, there may still be some unfinished business he's not yet aware of..

Isn't Caleb a vampire? Not a pussy teenager 00's vampire, but one that actually drinks blood, because he's been dead for over a century and he looks alive other than his eyes, he drinks blood, no levels take place during the day and he wears a big fedora to shade himself.

He is a so called "undead"(Vampire, zombie.. you name it.).

@reed1the1unique hes undead, not a vampire. He is also "evil" but hes more of an antihero. There are day time levels in the first, and yes he drinks blood and eats zombie hearts.

@D0OMZ4 I can't get past basement. In the beginning of the level you have to go around the side of the house and into the basement, but the other side of the basement is blocked by fire.

I'm playing the nightmare levels for the first time now and I just rediscovered why blood 2 sucks so bad. Most of the time you have absolutely no idea where to go. The level design isn't that good compared to the 1st blood (which I like 123x more even it is powered by the 2.5D Build engine).

I dislike the textures as well even though filtered and in highres they still look like crap.

it was easy to forget this game when HL-1 came out.

that, or their inhabiting their resurrected corpses memories (which why their twisted) since the Chosen you see here are actually not in their original bodies since Blood 1 does mention Caleb awakening in a body he doesn't know...

it's nice but the first blood is still -well- more 'original'.

just started to play the nightmare levels though, the part with ophelia but can't figure out how to accomplish this one.

I'm stuck on the floor with the many bedrooms, a bathroom and some kind of diningroom with a locked door... guess I have to find a key but where?

I can't get passed the hallway with the steam/fire getting out of the wall...
