Iv never been much of a cut chemist fan in the first place but seriously though......You cant hate on mistakes that much. It might be a little unprofessional but it truly happens to the best of the best.
That and the only people who really hate on heads like that are usually bedroom dj's who can only do a dope routine.......IN THEIR BEDROOM!
What this video shows is that Cut Chemist is human just like the rest of us. Who doesn't have good days and bad days? Sometimes you just struggle to find your mojo. On the flipside: had I have been there or PAID to see him at a gig with him playing like that I would have feeling really let down and deflated.
You can blatantly see that he was having equipment issues. I've personally had to play at gigs where the club's needles were jumpy as hell (i.e. I couldn't even back-cue without it jumping a few rails each time) while the poorly maintained mixer was popping and bleeding all over the place. Everyone blames you and says you're wak. Some would say that a "bad tradesman blames his tools", however having shit equipment is like trying to win a car race with only three tyres.
The worst was when he starts juggling the baby scratch that is ALREADY RECORDED ON THE RECORD. Come on dude. You can't juggle and throw in your own baby scratch?
Is Cut depressed or something? He seems all moody at all his performances. Bring back J5 CUT!
Give him a break those were probably the store's shitty overused tables and the slipmats probably sucked too. He balanced the tonearm and got the feel of the tables quickly and on the fly. A lesser DJ probably would have not been able to pull this off.
this isn't a good video really showcasing dudes skills. he can cut better than he can juggle but people gotta stop being so damn critical and enjoy the fucking music! computers have warped peoples perceptions now everything has to sound quantized and if it doesn't people assume its bad. damn shame.

Yeah he messed up his beat juggling quite bad, also why does he need to wear headphones? Any half decent tablist should know there records and routine well enough to not require them. He might of been trying out something new but that was no excuse for sucking so bad.

Cut Chemist is an amazing DJ, but unfortunately, he played a crappy set. I know how it is, with equipment messing up on you how frustrating it is.
