  • Bon appetit.

    SAS.

  • at 0.51 what is the name of the hat he is wearing?

  • şiş kebap türk yemeği lan!

  • this is a great idea for a theme restaurant.

  • Super Army Soldiers

  • Yeah, we're the cool country.

  • Nice sketch. What I like about it is how it tranposes politics to an non-political realm-dining, restaurants. We see a varied menu of ethnic revolutionary left wing peoples-Russian, Chinese, Arab-and the patrons are calmly talking as if this a normal everyday thing-which it is in some parts of the world.

  • @MultiSmartass1 ahh, I see why you call yourself MultiSmartass.

  • @ItsTurningGreen002 Iam curious-why do you call yourself Its turning green?

  • @MultiSmartass1 It was an old name for a video making clan that never happened.

  • @ItsTurningGreen002 Good to know.

  • Bonne appetit. SAS..... Cool twist.

  • This is from series 1

  • @PETERALEXANDERSCOTT

No, series 1 is the one with Chris Langham. I forget which series this is from, but it's definitely 2, 3, or 4.

  • "There has been no violence, repeat, just a little violence!" I love how sentences like these can be almost as good as the punchline sometimes. :D

  • Look at Mel's hair! Man alive! XD

  • what is SAS?

  • @aweiss

Special Air Service. British special military force.

  • SAS HURRAY!

  • best sketch ever, thanks for uploading it.

  • Best is British! Go SAS

  • SAS hells ya!

  • sas rules :D

  • I spit on your imperialist cheeseburger!!

  • "They personally after own volition invited the Soviet troops to come and murder them"

  • pretty sure that most of the satire done by Not the nine o clock news would be "too touchy" for today's political correctlings

  • @rotyoung Bollocks would it, we have biting satire today just as then. Have I Got News For You pushes the boundaries just as far as NTNOCN ever did

  • @rotyoung And that's a damn shame.

  • fuck yeah SAS SAS im from hereford where there based yeahhhhh

  • thats billy connolly's wife

  • Bon appetit... SAS LMAO

  • "There has been no violence. Repeat: just a little violence."

    hehehe

  • That's a brilliant sketch, what a lost gem.

  • This was just after the Iranian Embassy siege in London and was quite lirerally the debut of the 22nd Special Air Service on the world stage. Most people in the UK, let alone the rest of the world, were not even aware of their existence mere months before. National pride was, understandably, running very high and resulted in this brilliant sketch.

Kudos to Rowan for doing "double duty" in this sketch.

  • @Jamieson66 also because it would be another nine years before The Telegraph and Jane's Defence Weekly disclosed the SAS had been training Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge.

  • very good
