  • Getting drunk the night before you donate is really stupid. Be smart--stick to water. Plasma is 93% water. Alcohol is a dehydrant. Plasma is essential to live. It's not hard to do the math.

By the way Gears2, great comment.

  • @Pinepelt I've drank the night before, and it didn't affect anything.

  • @WehrmachtLuftwaffe Well, I've never drunk in my life, so we have my opinion and your experience. Still, I'm sticking to water. :)

  • Make sure they don't manipulate the needle too much after they stick you, if it is moved around you get a chance of infiltration - where the vein tears open and blood leaks into muscle and tissue, and its painful. Eat as soon as possible before donating, drink a ton of water afterwards and before. Above all, if you feel anything out of the ordinary - dizziness, sweating, chills, vision changes - notify someone IMMEDIATELY.

  • you two sound really vanilla

  • haha i remember my buddies get all woozie one day we donated after getting wasted one night..

  • Tip#4 beware of the ultra rude employees that work there.

  • Best tips!!

    No Lie

#1 eat at least two hour before you donate plasma!!

#2 drink 2 bottles of water, at least an hour before you donate plasma

#3 Drink some kind of hidrant (Gatoraide, Poweraide, VitiminWater, or just plain Water) after you come out from donating.

  • getting drunk before u donate is great or after a hard night of drinking it just shoots out

  • Getting drunk before you donate is actually dangerous. Alcohol dehydrates the body.

  • im talking about the day after

  • @71m3d0g That's because your blood is extremly thin after you drink thats why it just shoots out not very smart not to mention you may pass out haha.

  • i noticed after a night of drinking i donated in 44 minutes usually im around 80 mins ..trying diff things to lower like asprin to thin blood ..i stay around 60 mins
