  • i was little

  • when i was a toddler i watched nightmare before christmas, ever since then iv'e been obseesed with all tim burtons movies and clay animation(:

  • Wow... I thought its all animation..

  • 1:15 is where u could see the line going across coraline's face (since they had separate faces for each expression)

  • i want a haircut just like coraline

  • I saw half of it and couldn't sleep that night though, why is that mr smarty pants?!

  • 1:39 wasn't in the movie

  • when i was little i LOVED stop motion animation! i thought it is was so cool. it was all i would watch. Coraline is AWESOME by the way!

  • haha 0:26 cat falls over.

  • how i love stop motion..

  • my 3 yrs old daughter love this movie.. she watch it 20x already...

  • to be honest it wasnt that scary, just brilliant.

  • what i believe is stunning is the face expressions, the hair, the clothes, the sets, the frames, the patience... OK, EVERYTHING!

  • this film scared the piss out of me

  • thats so cool how they made the movie

    i would keep everything :)

  • to know that a lot of people have put so much effort into this makes it less enoyable let me know what you think !

  • everybody says this movie was creepy, but i didn't think so.

  • i watched it last night I had to picture my self hitting and yelling at the other mother to get to sleep!

  • LOL No way!

    3d was lovely.

  • i migth buy the film when i can and watch it in 3d

  • but in a good way!

  • I can't understand why people keep mixing up stop motion animation with clay?! The fact is, clay have a very little to do with todays stop motion films. You can go back to 1993, the time Nightmare Before Christmas was made. They didn't use clay, maybe for some houses and sets. But there is a very little amount of clay made characters. You can find them in crappy YouTube clips made with Movie maker and a webcam. But not in todays movies.

  • You're an uneducated fool.

  • Is that so? Name atleast ONE professional stop motion movie that is entirely made of clay.

  • Morph, Rex the Runt, Wallace and Gromit- any of them, Mary and Max, Chicken Run... Not to mention several hundred clay animated shorts.

    Need I go on Neanderthal?

  • Gummbie was clay and that was stop motion animation, Wallace and Gromit's was clay, chicken run was clay. Many stop motion animation films where made from the use of clay.

  • Yeah ofcourse there is clay involved with stop motion. I didn't say there was absolutly zero. There's a handfull of known movies that the characters where made of clay. I didn't say anything else.

  • You're an idiot.

  • @DarcyPrendergast Your slow. Dude, it has been 4 months. Good luck with life jackass.

  • It bares repeating- you're an idiot and your knowledge of stop motion animation is merely a snapshot at a greater intellect deficiency. So I return the 'good luck' to you, who I fear will need it more.

  • Wasn't it specifically plasticine in Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run?

  • the book was really scary too. I read it before I even heard it was going to be a movie :-)

  • is the book called coraline.. i feel liek buying it.

  • It was such a disturbing and imaginatively creative film.

one of my all time favorites!<3

  • On 0:23 Wybie looks weird! Lol but I <3 this movie so much. I'm insanely obsessed with it, and I already have two shirts xD

  • Too true, if this movie was portrayed by real actors, I'd have never shut my eyes again. Even this movie, complete with the puppets scared me enough to keep sleep at bay for a couple hours. Although, I have to admit, it's an excellent movie, and despite the fact it scared me, I love it. Fantastic work, guys! (Thank you for making it puppets & not actors!)

  • I'm glad Henry Selick is back!

  • uruseiranma

it was in the movie that part remember seeing it

  • 1:39-1:42

This looks like a deleted scene. I don't recall Coraline's over-the-top pretend death scene.

My guess it was part of her speech about how she almost fell down a well and almost died.

  • 2:00 to 2:04

    WTF?

  • i love this type of animation. nightmare before christmas and the corpes bride. the only problem with this movie is that it may be to scary for younger viewers.

  • I ♥ Psychonauts...

  • loved the book

  • It reminds me of the video game Psychonauts...

  • too dark? Thats the point of the story!!!

  • i wonder if they have to move it each movement of the cartoon if it was that will be tiering

  • that's what stop motion IS..

  • Just too dark for me and my kids, sorry.

  • oh ya, the book is really scary. It could've easily been made into a rated R horror movie

  • why do people give you thumbs down? That's very true.

  • If your kids can't bear to watch something made of clay and understand it's a story then what's life going to be like for them?

  • There is something called, 'The magic years' when kids cannot delineate between fantasy and reality. That is why they believe in Santa Claus, for instance. Many kids remain in this place until about age 8. This movie is not for those kids. My eldest could not have handled this at that age, but my youngest could. So don't be so judgemental.
