i have always disliked the reel. my teacher always puts the in-between stepping parts into our recital dances. bla. the seann triubhas, that is an awesome dance. i lik the wilt thou too.
i hated this one because i was the only one at my class and i had 2 dance around chair and 4 my exam i had 2 get people 2 stand in and i had 2 dance around them:(
Hi are there many scots diasporia in NZ as I looked up on wikipedia and you dont have a page there? I think NZ is just like the highlands of Scotland, ruggid, beautiful mountains.
This was a little while ago, at the Loch Lomond Highland Games... in July 2007.
The video doesn't do it justice - its certainly harder than they make it look (but since you know a couple of the people, I guess you would know that).

I agre with ikkeo16, I do Highland dancing in NZ and I can tell u 1 thing "its not easy!"
Highland dancing is a very physical demanding type of dance and u need 2 b very fit!!!

yes highland is hard to learn and the technique required is hard to do especially in premier,not alot of people know that.
my daughter (ad) has danced at these games dances in premier you will probably know me me xx
