In my opinion christians should follow the teachings of christ not the old testament. I was raised with a sunday school teaching grandmother and she definetly agrees with that. I don't think christans should even worry about the old testament! @davidrstarr science can not deny the existence of a creator. however, science does accept a creation event just not any mechanism for that creation. everything after that creation is observable including evolution and therefore accepted by science. science doesn't threaten religion, it supplements it. it's up to the individual to decide what to believe on what caused creation, but god may never be proven.

The dietary & ceremonial laws (such Deut 23:3) were repealed by God in Romans & Colossians, whereas the moral laws (murder, lying, adultery, homosexuality, etc) remained in place. That is true since we do not enter heaven by works, but by his grace and his work on the cross (Ephesians 2:8:9-Titus 3:5 and numerous other passages). @davidrstarr science can not deny the existence of a creator. however, science does accept a creation event just not any mechanism for that creation. everything after that creation is observable including evolution and therefore accepted by science. science doesn't threaten religion, it supplements it. it's up to the individual to decide what to believe on what caused creation, but god may never be proven.

The dietary & ceremonial laws (such Deut 23:3) were repealed by God in Romans & Colossians, whereas the moral laws (murder, lying, adultery, homosexuality, etc) remained in place. Therefore, it is no longer a sin to eat lobster, but it is still a sin to murder. So poor Sam, the illegitimate son, is not banished after all.

An athiest is someone who has studied holy texts and history and has come to the conclusion for himself that their is no greater power. You seem to be athiest because you lack ambition, and don't wish to be mocked by your friends.
Look for the video Zeitgeist, if you're going to be an athiest at least know the fucking score.

@cartoonfan1920s Actually, he was married to a woman. A lot of people claim that it was mary magdalin (however you spell it) Who even knows who but he was. He went through the same kind of things and life that every other normal person (of that time) went through. And he dined with them simply because of their cutlure at the time that women were worth no more than property and didn't have the same rights as a man so of course they pretty much sat "at the kiddie table" with the children.
