To be honest, even if Hypno-Disc beat Bigger Brother and fought Razer, I don't think it would be that amazing of a fight. It would really come down to the first contact- either Hypno rips through Razers sideand gets to the electronics, or Razer gets under Hypno, clamps down (The shell is 10mm aluminium, won't be pierced), and shove it down the pit. Don't get me wrong, it would have been good to see who would win once and for all, but I doubt it would be the epic final a lot of people dream of.

I'm so glad that the Big Brother team never won - everyone treated them with so much favouritism just 'cos they were kids. I remember Craig Charles saying to a team about to fight them "how can you think of knocking out these adorable kids?" or something similar. What were they meant to do, just say "okay, you're little kids, you can win everything". And even at the end of this battle they show they are also sore losers by calling Razor chickens. If you're not chickens, you go attack them!

@homesweethome1984 They were just joking about the whole chickens thing- they were only 10 and 8, just having a bit of fun. As for Craig, im sure he was just having a laugh as well. Plenty of teams with little kids got knocked out and then Craig or Phillipa said similar things to the other teams, its a bit of good natured ribbing. Besides, if there was favouritism, it wasn't much- Bigger Brother never won a judges decision on the show (it won one in Nickelodeon RW but it was well earnt).

Never expected Bigger Brother to have won, would have been nice, but at the end of the day, Razer were just on a different level, their ground clearance is minimal and a flipper doesn't have a chance against them. Big shame the fans never got the Razer vs Hypnodisc fight we all so desperately craved.

@DaveRelph001 Bigger Brother were great competitors. Awesome achievement to a) beat Hypnodisc in the Semi (am I right?), and then b) to actually fix the thing for the final! Razer in my mind were so unlucky not to do so well beforehand, Razer worthy champions at last! Great team spirit as well through the camp for everyone to club together and help out Bigger Brother! Awesome.

I thought Hypno-Disc should have been in this fight. Bigger Brother were like a lonesome prey for Razer it's kind of a pathetic Grand Final, Bigger Brother had no chance unless they could use the flipper. Although 1 fight i would have loved to see is Panic Attack go up against Razer. Panic Attack has strong armour so i don't know if Razer could puncture it and if PA got underneath it can impale Razer and then they can't do nothing after that.

It flipped two machines out of the arena in this series, including the number 17 seed, and also outclassed the number 8 seed.

Tactics do play a part in Robot Wars, you know. The pit is there for a reason, i.e to push robots in it.

As much as I wanted Hypno-Disc to win and face Razer, Bigger Brother won because after the level of damage they took, their startegy was to push Hypno-Disc down the pit, and it worked.

And I maintain that if a robot can defeat Chaos 2, Hypno-Disc and Tornado as well as flip two machines out of the arena, then it is a good robot.

You can't say BB won "occasionally", or that "9/10" times it would lose, since it actually won more battles than it lost.

You can continue making excuses, but at the end of the day, Bigger Brother is a good robot because with the combination of good reliability, weaponry, strategy and driving, it finished second in the fifth wars, and also reached the semis in series 6. Now tell me that "half the entrants" have done that.

This was a terrible final. If Behemoth reached the grand final it would have probably been better as they seem to be the only robot able to flip Razer over. Even though Razer has won every battle against Behemoth they always have to really work for it unlike here.

@cdajfan Perhaps but Wheely Big Cheese is an unpredictable robot. It was the most powerful flipper in Robot Wars without a doubt but really difficult to drive and use properly. Behemoth had a good driver and I think it's front bucket was closer to the ground than WBC's flipper so they would have been able to lift them as long as they were careful. This is all in the past I know but I would have preferred to have seen Behemoth fight Razer over Bigger Brother, it would have been a lot closer.

It's all a rock paper scissors thing - Razer was great for taking on flippers, but probably more vulnerable to a pusher... but a pusher usually loses to a flipper.
