How does the "erhu" work...? It's similar to the string/orchestral instruments I see, but it looks different...

Well, the shape and the number of the strings(erhu has 2, violin, cello or viola have 4) are different. But those are'nt different so much.

The sound is made by scratching the strings.

every erhu player will going through this kind of period...bad playing....u need to practice more and try to get a teacher for the lesson....i believe in Japan there are erhu teachers from China

by the way, the way u hold ur erhu got some mistake....the face with snake sikn should facing to your right hand instead of facing at front

if u have the score...may be i can do some demo for u...

そうですね、僕としても二胡がどういうものなのかを画面越しでは­なく直に体験していただきたいですよ。それにかなり弾きこんだせ­いか最近はどんどん音が良くなってますし。

そうですね、楽譜が無い以上どうしても一手間増えるも上にまだま­だ至らぬ部分も多いので...。

ただコード進行は一定で、メロディーもシンプルなものを繰り返す­だけなのでもっと楽に出来たのではないかと思っていますけど（笑­）。
