  • I love it! People in America are really starting to understand what it means to be a responsible citizen.

  • These people have no clue what's in this bill. Also noticing there's not a single black guy there.

  • We need to get rid of everyone in power right now, remove both party leadership or "parties" all together, tear down the satanic layout of Wash DC, eliminate secret societies, export or hang elitist traitors for treason, burn down the FED, go back to the gold standard so money actually means something, restore true capitalism, restore the old republic, return to God as a country, love one another, respect peoples rights, cap interest on credit, work for a living, get nothing for free. Viva USA!

  • you really need to re-read and think about what you wrote. it is very troubling.

  • It might be troubling because you appear to enjoy the current system of control hanging over us like a hammer waiting to let go. I on the other hand want a real government of the people, by the people and for the people. These clowns in office now forget that they work for us not the other way around. Enjoy your fluoride water, vaccines, and government masters.

I see nothing troubling with defending myself against eugenicists. You must not know the truth about what is really going on up there.

  • I don't currently live in michigan. I lived there 1984 - 2002. governor engler made the place a hell hole. highways and infrastructure was crap. he never attempted to improve schools or services. the courts were bought & paid for by the insurance companies. he was a total dumbass. I have not been back.

15% is not depression yet -- another of englers dumb moves not to attempt to diversify business.

  • I am reading it with an open mind. But ya see, I have a different mind than yours. And I don't like being required to purchase health care insurance beyond what I need for myself.

  • open mind - just logic, no politics. example - rationing - occurs in private & public. how to make better outcomes for citizens?

there are many things I don't like to but I am required to pay for: 1. iraq war 2. imprison people for marijuana possession 3. religious functions in government (nativity scenes)

    etc,,.

are you advocating giving a free ride to the insurance companies? allowing them to cheat citizens of premiums and deny coverage? courts are bought & ineffective.

  • No. Courts are ineffective in parts of the country because of political activists judges. This is also another issue with with Federal Courts and State Courts mostly. You're ok with forcing people to buy insurance then? And without even knowing what those minimum requirements are going to be? If the insurance premiums don't go up, it means the insurance companies are already meeting those minimum requirements.

  • I'd rather be cheated by the insurance companies than by the government who is the most criminal enterprise under the FED in history! Burn the NWO!

  • I don't want to be cheated at all. single payer or the outlawing of insurance co's would lower cost and allow better use of our tax dollars. also, I suspect you will be refusing medicare & social security payments in future?

Fact - private insurers have driven up health cost in the US. just compare US cost w/ other countries.

burn the NWO? who do you think owns the governments and keeps entire nations of people sick and in poverty? do a little more reading and critical thinking.

  • Other way around! Single payer might lower your cost in the short term and that is a BIG "might". For businesses it will drive up costs by forcing them to have government crappy insurance with little choices and even higher payments when "opting out" with penalities. It destroys the free market and hasn't worked in other countries. The healthcare sux with long wait periods and a bueracratic panel (nonmed) that decides what you get, when, and how much. It's another government scam to control you!

  • actually, when you have large groups to negotiate with the cost will go down -FACT. so, cost would drop.

This would also drop the cost to business because single payer would take the burden off business and taxes would pay for it. -FACT.

Gov insurance is crappy??? why don't you ask the seniors receiving medicare. this is gov "crappy" insurance -FACT.

it has work in many free market economies without destroying the free market -FACT.

US 18,000 a year die with rationed insurance co care -FACT.

  • You think medicare is a good run division? Hmmm... I worked at United Healthcare and would get medicare complaints ALL the time from seniors. The senators don't use medicare. They have the best pishposh of options in insurance paid for by our tax money. Inviting government into your private lives for everything is a trojan horse and leads to decreased liberty & freedom. Our government is becoming way to controlling and soon, if u let them, they will be telling you what you can and cannot eat...

  • how many seniors are on medicare? and you got how many complaints? did any of those seniors give up their medicare? NO! guess they think it runs pretty well.

Insurance co rationing cost lives -FACT

don't be fooled, you are only as free as the gov allows. bush - arrested and held for years citizens without cause or charge. he wire tapped all of us without warrant! what makes you think gov isn't already in every facet of our lives? FDA & FCC -- ex. gov censors.

  • Bush, Clinton, Obama all work for the same elitist NWO scum! Of course they want government fingers in all the pies. They are evil, unempathic control freaks. This is just one more right they are trying to steal. Nowhere in the constitution are these powers of government. By law SS and medicare are unconstitutional and should be illegal. If u think these criminals dont own the insurance industry also and drove up costs on purpose TO GET US to ask the SAME people for help, then you are naive.

  • health care reform and establishment of single payer would be constitutional under the "General

Welfare Clause" -- same as medicare. see my earlier posts

  • The Gen Welfare clause is ONLY to be used within the confines of the enumerated powers given to government in Article 1 Section 8. Surely, SS, Medicare, and other Health Control is not one of these powers granted to government. So you are wrong my friend. These are "rubber band" programs that have stretched the power of government outside the powers granted unto them by WE THE PEOPLE. Please study up on this.

  • Supreme Court upheld Hamilton's view of General Welfare Clause. Gov can tax & spend if "true tax", the scope is national and is for "common benefit". US v Buter 1936 & especially Halvering v Davis 1937 -- SS act upheld as constitutional.

  • Hmmm...The Supreme Court. Unelected officials who decide what is and what isn't constitutional. Craziness! But you are missing my point - Yes, I know that SS and MC is legal, but by the founding fathers constitution it is NOT a power that government has. Asking the supreme court to determine this is extremely bias considering that they themselves are government. These bills should be past on a majority civ vote. That is how a true republic works. Not elitists in DC that leave the people out.

  • no SC?

founding fathers -- you mean the group of incestuous, race hating, rapist NWO elitist that kept us from directly electing our president or having national referendums on major policies.

the constitution was the biggest power grab away from the avg person in this country. it kept the vote from the majority of people (women, non-whites & poor) except those like them - rich white male land owners! they were unelected, bias and elitist - they were NWO of their day!

  • Uh, they made sure we werent under Crown Law anymore by fighting the Rev War. They wrote the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and of course the Declaration of Independence. Without these, we wouldnt even be having such a conversation. Maybe they were elitists, but it doesnt change the fact that they started the freedom ball rolling. As far as voting then, it was a sign of the times. No "rights" movements yet. But you just dont get it do you? They were about small government and freedom. How -->

  • they were about NWO capitalism. total control of the masses. where do you think it began?

  • --> can you hate the founding fathers who gave us liberty? I'm not saying they were perfect but come on. Why do liberals hate what makes us free? Why do liberals want everything for free? Why do liberals want government hands down our pants? Do you like freedom of choice? Do you like the fact that you can go out and work wherever you want, do whatever you like (legal), say whatever you want? I mean, can you not see that government is trying to get into every nuance of our lives? Cars, banks, ins

  • they did not offer choice or freedom, but slavery for over 70% of the people that fought or supported the war. you are talking about a fantasy spread by corporate/NWO/gov schills, I'm talking facts.

I can go out and do the things I do because of the real freedom lovers. such as susan b anthony, abe lincoln, thurgood marshal, Cocise and many others.

stop believing the corporate pablum spread by the NWO.

  • -->urance, food (codex alimentarius) aka where organic food and nutrients are banned and irradiated, lethal vaccines, guns (2nd Amendment), free speach (Fairness Doctrine, Net bully laws, poster censorship), passing away (HC Death Panels), civilian youth corps (indoctrinated children), martial law (scary executive powers - unconstitutional) unelected officials (supreme courts), tax paid abortions (murder), finances (taxes, Fed Res), beliefs (forced Darwin theory), Patriot Act, Media control, ETC

  • complete laissez faire is what the NWO wants. they had it before 1930's. the corp poisoned, trampled individual rights, murdered and basically held citizens as slaves to industry.

I support child labor laws, minimum wage, FDA s/b stronger, supreme court - privacy rights, among other things.

do you believe the many or the powerful should abuse the few or weak?

do you believe all power and authority s/b in the hands of large corp or churches?

  • You need to read the comments in the correct order to understand. Bottom to top. Thank you!

  • Many seniors are obviously on medicare. Alot of people use the post office to but the majority would say that FEDEX and DHL are alot quicker and efficient. Guess why? They are private and the free market makes sure they do their jobs. If they are slow and shitty, then no one goes to them. But if the government forces us to take this, youre out of options. Dont like how the govs plan works? Too bad cuz they are now the only ones you can go to. It is a monopoly and that means they call the shots.

  • FEDEX & DHL are profitable because they do not have to deliver every letter everywhere everyday. compare apples to apples, they succeed because they are not forced to service all the people at all times.

gov are not the only plan in HR3200. if the gov is so bad, why is the private sector so afraid? you seem to be afraid that a rich NWO guy will loose some money? you are using bargain basement arguments that were old before medicare began.???

  • They won't lose money. They will gain it by power consolidation. They are eliminating the competition aka monopoly. You like giving the government everything it wants? Bargain basement? What?! My freedoms of choice (yours too) are hardly something to give up. You seem to not understand that the FED owns the government, so paying the government is paying the FED. The FED is wrong in so many ways not to mention evil and corrupt. Power is what these people seek and you just want to give it to them.

  • Most good pro docters will quit or do something else that doesn't affect them like this. Think of government agencies - medicare, s.s., dmv, post office, etc - they all suck and are piss poorly run. SS wont even be around when I'm that old it is so broke. The NWO controls everything and thinks you are their slave. Now they want in on your healthcare to do more of their eugenics program. They now own our government and are trying to turn the U.S. into a tryrannical socialized dictatorship. F them

  • most doctors have been begging the gov to regulate the insurance co.

medicare & ss are the most liked programs in the country. they are not broke, but underfunded.

you must be young to believe that SS will end. if anyone in gov attempts to end medicare or SS they would be literally dead.

if you believe the NWO exists, it is not gov. it is a cabal of rich & powerful bankers and co execs (like insurance co) that "run" multiple govs. they fight against single payer, but love war profiteering.

  • Show me where doctors want this. I have seen none that want this, in fact most are protesting it. Do your homework! I'm not too young (28) but even the government has stated that SS will be completely broke by 2020. Their words not mine. The NWO does exist for many leaders have outright said it. And yes you are right, thats where it started but the private bank called the FED which is NWO run has our entire government in their pocket so yes, it IS government. OURs and other countries government.

  • You do realize that in the bill, the minimum requirement only requires insurers to pay 70% of the cost in its "Essential Plan". That is the only thing the bill says about the minimum requirements.

  • My insurance pays more than 70%. This doesn't seem like its going to benefit people.

  • Obama admitted some limits in his town hall. plan will try to use generics, technology and maximize resources by use of health board to make recommendations.

  • I know it will change when I get older, but there is this thing called health savings accounts. NOTHING IN THIS BILL TO EXPAND HEALTH SAVING ACCOUNTS! Tax free Interest. Tax Deductible when you spend it. NO GOVERNMENT OPTION! NO MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS! NONE! Do not eliminate these plans for future generations.

  • I'm 43 male. I've had a health savings account since they began. they do nothing to reign in the cost of premiums or out of pocket costs. true medical cost can be contained by the logical steps above. I don't see where the bill eliminates these accounts. this might be another "death panel" scare. don't read into the bill nothing that is not there. you are putting a lot of faith in insurance executives. I've 1 family members and 1 friend hurt on the job and medical refused to pay.

  • I know it doesn't say that it will. But economics is not discriminatory. If you require minimum requirements, and these plans at the lower end of the cost scale don't meet those requirements, then people will have to buy more expensive policies. The bill does absolutely nothing to address the costs. Medicare under reimburses doctors, so that doctors charge private insurers more than 150% of the cost to private insurers. FIX THAT! Oh wait, that would require a tax hike, huh?

  • medicare pays 2 times what is paid in other countries for similar care. health care cost have been artificially driven up by the insurance co to close clinics to ensure their near monopoly. the bill actually tries to rein in these artificial cost increases. by improving insurance co to administrative cost, which are now 12 - 30%. medicare administrative costs are 3-5%. also, the over charge is due to people without insurance going to the emergency room or insurance co refusing to pay.

  • We actually do have a standard of living in the USA. But the reason The Federal Government's costs of administration are so low is because of two reasons. The reason Medicare 2x as much is because medicare is for the elderly mostly who need more health care. And that is also contributes to their administrative costs, plus the Federal Government isn't an insurer so to speak, medicare gets paid to what is called Managed Care Options who incur most of the administrative costs.

  • Canada, UK, Germany, etc.. have standards of living. they also don't fear bankruptcy caused by medical bills. medicare is a great deal for seniors, just try to take it away! the gov isn't a for profit insurer. this is why I think the public option s/b adopted. less admin cost and profit motive. if the plan is self sufficient after initial setup cost, I think it would be a decent solution (generic drugs are fine for most people). managed care options - traditional is better & cheaper.

  • managed care options are the least efficient. Anf Canada, UK, Germany never have to worry about having a Dream to succeed either. Because they can't. Medicare won't be there for most of us when we become seniors, at least, we'll all have to lower our standard of living to the likes of France, UK, Canada, and Germany in order to pay for the 53 trillion in unfunded liabilities for it. If you want government health care, pass it in your state!

  • traditional medicare is best. Canada, UK, Germany what are you talking about? maybe you should talk to a few. when I lived in michigan I met people from canada regularly and they were economically in a better position that many from the US. in a former job, I met several successful business people from the UK (don't know any Germans). American Dream or Fairy Tale? real wages have been going down for 30 yrs. they also don't have 18,000 people (mainly citizens) dying for lack of insurance

  • You do realize that the House Bill that is being largely opposed requires you to purchase health care insurance? It also creates a committee that will set minimum requirements that you will have to carry. They don't know what they are yet.But they seem to be giving you false predictions on how much its going to cost. And people also largely oppose the government option, when it isn't an option to carry health care insurance. It would be a requirement if this bill is passed.

  • we covered this before. yes, i do know this. my background: I am a plant controller w/ background in cost accounting & cash management. when planning for a new product you have to estimate costs (they are never exact). most people are opposing a "figment of the imagination" because they don't know what's in the bill or are reading things into it that are not there. earlier you stated rationing, when it happens with more frequency with private (much worse outcomes).

  • Especially when you don't have plan, like the Democrats DO NOT HAVE! They do know whats in the bill. But you don't. Is it ok to require people to purchase health care insurance?

  • And I know medicare is here to stay, and we are going to have to come with the 53 trillion to fund the unfunded liabilities. And I don't want more.

  • And I can claim that I have credentials that I don't have. I saw on Craig's list that they are paying people like you to counter the opposition AND YOU ARE NOT BEING TRUTHFUL! AND PEOPLE KNOW IT!

  • actually, this is a plan. you may not agree with it, but a plan. there are other plans, but this is the most comprehensive. citizenship has responsibilities. we all live with it. I earned these credentials. Overall, your arguments are very short sighted. medicare is here to stay. Read The Bill! with an open mind, It places necessary reforms on the insurance industry (stops withholding payments or using pre-existing conditions to refuse service after taking $ from customers).

  • Do you agree that requiring a complete exclusion of preexisting condition exclusions will raise the prices of premiums for those that don't have that issue? Do you agree that minimum requirements will eliminate the lowest priced premiums for people that aren't of age where they have to buy their own? Do you agree that they don't know who much its going to cost? Don't you think they should know what these minimum requirements are before they pass the bill?

  • preexisting condition: I do not agree. private ins co do this for large corps, why not for everyone else? they will be getting over 30 million new premiums! I have thought the bill thru, I do not agree with all of it, but there is about 75-80% I like. minimum requirements: lowest premium, high co-pay & deductible put our financial system at risk. bankruptcy in the making. they knew even less when medicare was passed and now it is the most liked insurance program.

  • Funny thing is, I support some of the things that you do. Lets require the congress to debate these issues and get rid of the parts of the bill that are not conducive to actually lowering costs.

  • The entire Bill should be eliminated!

  • I don't want people buying insurance for a month for just one month to get something done, and then canceling it so that premiums go up for everyone else.

  • Medicare isn't the most liked actually. It is almost the only choice for most seniors that rely on Social Security for their retirement.

  • Its called "Fraud".

  • We also know that Michigan governor has raised the taxes up there and that Michigan has the highest unemployment rate in the USA. And Michigan is a State in a depression.

  • But those health savings accounts do save you money. its tax free when you spend it. The interest on it is tax free. Why not use tax incentives to get more employers to offer health insurance, and don't discriminate while doing it. And why not removing the red tape that raises the administrative costs to run a medical business? Why not do these common sense things?

  • Comment removed

  • the insurance company rations care all the time, but these people are okay with that?

  • they don't know what is actually in the bill.

  • You don't know whats it in, and you don't care whats in it. You're a drone!

  • and your an idiot. I read half of the piece of crap and skimmed the rest it is lawyers speak. it does not mention abortion, rationing, "death panels" or any of the things I've been hearing. so, I do not believe these rabid people at the town halls. do you actually believe congress people ever read bills? why do you think they have staff. the staff reads & interprets. maybe, if people calmed down & listen they would understand. you should think before you respond to anyone. dunce!

  • I never said it included abortion or death panels. The law has ruled that if clauses are silent on abortion, its included. And it doesn't include rationing, because the Congress is actually not in tune with economics to see that it will lead to rationing because of several reasons. Underfunding, no limits, rises in premiums forcing more people into the government option. The only way to avoid rationing is to raise taxes. ECONOMIC OPPRESSION!

  • thank you for not calling names. Capps amendment prohibits abortion in public option. rationing will remain a part of health care. now private co ration care. bill aims to end rationing for profits such as pre-existing conditions, refusing payment for care, and several other private co practices (rationing). private co profits increased almost 500% in the last 4 years. they still increase premiums. and out of pocket fees. without public option there is no competition.

  • Here is where the problem with that comes. If you have a plan that is $157 per/month, not everything is going to be covered. I'm 36, and a male. I don't need maternity coverage. I'm a male. I don't need mamogram. I'm a male. SEe what I'm saying? I don't have heart disease. I'm in pretty good health. I don't need coverages that some other people do. And I don't want to be forced to pay higher premiums for a plan that is more than I need.

  • I apologize for some of my language before. the bill does not say what the coverage will be because medical services and knowledge will change over time. it will not include everything or be "the best". it will be a basic coverage w/ prescription & catastrophic care to keep people out of bankruptcy-lower deductibles. the bill is part of economic policy. you are paying for others emergency room care right now. needs change quickly. you may be in good shape now, but future, who knows?

  • Let me make this clear. Obama doesn't know what is in the bill if he says that passing the bill that it would take effect in 2010. The parts of the bill that would take effect is the creation of the committee to start setting minimum standards and telling you what coverage the American People have to have. If you ever change your plan from what you have on December 31st, 2012, you'll never be able to get it back.

  • On the other hand, if your plan is "Grandfathered" in, it's good to go for 5 years. And another point, that part of the plan doesn't start until 2013. The 2010 start dates are around setting up infrastructure of the over all system.

  • I know it doesn't start until 2013. But if you ever change from a grandfathered plan that doesn't meet the "Government mandated minimum requirements", you'll never get that price again for a policy. Kind of counter objective to competitiveness don't ya think?

  • Again. Beginning in 2013 all insurance providers have to be compliant with the new laws and standards, even those that were Grandfathered in. If they aren't and your present insurance is too expensive or doesn't cover what you need. You can go to the Exchange and pick a policy (from private insurance co) that does. The Exchange makes it competitive and if the Public Option is thrown in the Exchange, it makes the Exchange competitive too.

  • The exchange has nothing to do with competitiveness. There will be no plans under $600 available if this plan is passed. THE GOVERNMENT IS RAISING THE PRICE. NOT LOWERING IT. ECONOMICS 101. YOU'RE A DRONE!

  • But we need to know what those minimum requirements are, BEFORE THE BILL IS PASSED. NOT AFTER!

  • As a citizen on the Kansas City side, I appreciate you posting this for my advantage.

  • And you already have felt the damage that McGaskill has done to Kansas City when she was on the city council there. DISASTER. Remember the Bi-State tax she and others tried to get through?

  • Thank you very much for posting these videos. more town hall meetings need this exposure.

  • PUBLIC OPTION !is the best but if you dont like it just buy something else.. there will always be private companys to go to...this is only for the uninsured and those who want it...I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE THINK THIS WILL LIMIT CHOICE? RIGHT NOW 47 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE NO CHOICE THEY HAVE NO HEALTHCARE AND YOU ARE PAYING THEIR WAY ALREADY!! AT LEAST WITH PUBLIC OPTION WE CAN PREVENT THESE PEOPLE FROM ENDING UP IN E.R. ..SUPPORT THE PUBLIC OPTION!!EITHER WAY WE WILL PAY WHY NOT GET BEST DEAL??

  • You're not getting the big picture. With this government program, it will compete against insurance companies. The difference is, the government will undercut insurances because the government does not have to make a profit. When the government bails the insurance companies out 2-3 years from this passing, they will just take them over and there ya have it. The road to single payer. There is a lot that goes into this, not just covering people. People will lose jobs and choice.

  • Additionally, the Government doesn't have to make profit, all they have to do is raise taxes through law in order to pay for the higher cost than they acknowledge in the bill by forcing private insurers to increase the out of pocket amounts by $100 for every 1% of the increase in the Consumer Price Index.

  • The difference is that the Government will set minimum requirements for private insurance, that they themselves won't have to meet.

  • The problem with that is that even the Private Insurance plans for $150/month and less will be eliminated by the House Bill 3200 due to 1. Creating a commission (SEction 123) to decide what minimum standards, 2. Imposing those minimum standards, 3. Then Requiring EVERYONE to buy it! READ THE BILL.

  • But your not telling people about the fact that if you can't afford what is being offered through your employer, or even as a small business or individual, you can go to the Exchange and pick from a basket of policies that would meet your needs and pocket book.

  • Thats your claim, but they don't even know the requirements and how much their going to cost. No where in the bill does it say how much they'll charge for it. It will be more expensive that what most people are paying now.

  • Where does it say in the bill what the insurance co are going to charge for their policies and how would the gov know what Aetna or Blue Cross will charge for their policies? You do understand that you will be buying a plan from a private insurance co, don't you?

  • Yes. But I also know with new minimum requirements, the lowest priced premiums will go away, unless of course the government sets the same minimum requirements that the insurance companies already meet. Then the Government will be proven wrong by saying that there wasn't any competition. WHICH THEY ARE!

  • Congress has recently released a version of the bill in plain language so it's easier to read. You can find the link to it on my channel page in the comment section.

  • You know that little symbol that comes up with when you go to the House website. It isn't on your site. You're a hack. YOU'RE A PIECE OF SHIT!

  • OMG! Are you stupid or what? Look at the address for crying out loud. It's from Rep Eshoo of California's Congressional web site. You can find the same pdf, on many other Rep. sites as well. The real bill doesn't have a Congress stamp or logo ass hole! Don't be calling me names when all I'm trying to do is help those who really want to know what's in the bill by reading the dam thing themselves, not taking YOUR WORD for it..

  • It is the democrat talking points. ANd it isn't the house's website.

  • If you want to help them, Don't omit the information that you don't want them to hear. That is what the Democrat Talking Points does. It was issued by the DNC. Not the Congress.

  • part 6 is coming, everyday life getting in the way...

  • wheres part 6 ???

  • sbnvaowhatever you are a paid Acorn clown..go get a job that isnt paid for by the Real taxpayers you fucking loser........

  • so many uninformed people, so little time. I was one of you until I realized how Hannity, Limbaugh, FOX NEWS, etc. etc. etc were counting on me not factchecking anything and blindly following everything they said. I hate to be lied to, which all of you apparently don't. You just eat up all of the right wing lies. What a waste. We don't even have a bill on either floor yet.

  • So all of that terrible 1,300 page bill is actually wonderfully, fluffy marshmellows send directly from Obama to all of us poor US citizens?

I think not. I've read portions of it and it's terrible. Many of the members of this audience has as well.

Why don't you try actually "factchecking" the bill yourself and then dispute some of their claims?

Or maybe just continue mindless stereotyping.

  • These legislatures are trying to ram this giant power grab/ socialization of health care through before the people have a chance to stop it, or even to have any input. They don't want citizens to have input! It's absolutely shameful.

  • The man in the Blue Polo in Part is a Blogger from St. Louis....he gives alot of Speeches locally..... I have never seen the handicap man before..

  • i`ve seen the accusticly impaired man

in another vid a month ago or so.

and the blue polo, say, is he selling stuff? insurances, may be?

  • Boomer, maybe you need to actually Read the Bill so you can make an Intelligent Comment about those who already have But that might require actual Work on Your Part instead it appears you have allowed the Government to do Your work For You and believe their talking Points

Good Job...way to think for yourself...

  • Your a putz. I've go the bill in pdf form right on my desk top...what part of the bill do you want to debate? Soon I'll have the Senate bill on my desk top as well, they are working on that right now in the Finance Committee. And when the final bill (the merge of the two) is ready, I'll have that on my desk top and gone over as well. If anyone goes with talking points..it must be you.

  • So are you going to tell people that Section 123 of the House Bill doesn't exist? And that it doesn't begin providing benefits until 2013? Because of the preconception of the Democrats that the People will just elect them to office again in 2012 along with the President? So they can campaign on health care reform, even though the President hasn't read it?

  • No I hadn't thought of that but the thing is a good piece of media and internet theater. Oh wait, problem with your idea there, Obama wants to pass this bill by the end of the year at the latest and parts of the bill go into effect as early as 2010.

Yes sec 123 does exist. It sets down the rules for the Health Benefits Advisory Committee, who's on it, how they get there and what their responsibility are. The section is 5 pages long begins on page 30 ends on 35

  • So, let me get this straight. All these people are ok with paying for Universal Health Care for Iraqi's but don't want any part of a bill that will reform the Insurance Companies so they can have cheaper coverage? This is what they really want? Do they have any idea what the bill even says...I doubt it.

  • I'll give you a few key points.

#1 The goverment gets to raid your bank account.

#2 There will be a committee to determine when your health benefits end.

#3 Aborition will be paid for under some programs.

  • Please point out in HR 3200 where it says this. I've been studying this bill since it was a draft and I must have missed it.

  • The unintended consequences are never included in a bill written by politicians. They have no economic savvy whatsoever.

  • Ya see, you are getting off topic again. I don't really care what the Iraqi people choose for themselves. I do care that we have our choices. And it isn't cheaper coverage. Its more expensive coverage. You didn't see in the House Bill where Y1 is defined as 2013? You are spreading disinformation about this bill. Anyone can read it. You haven't posted any sections for them to read. Why not? Dear Mr. President, Boomer is spreading disinformation on the Health Care Bill.

  • See I know about the infrastructure thing. And that proves that they don't know what minimum requirements are going to be initiated and they don't know how much its going to cost. I can understand minimum requirements to be met to qualify for a government option, if it was actually optional, but minimum requirements for private insurers isn't optional in the bill. I don't agree with that because it makes less options available and the options that will be available will cost more than now.

  • That's why the commissions are being set up in 2010, to gather data which will determine all the details of cost for the three levels of coverage and what is included in each level.

To be competitive with the Exchange policies (subsidized) a independent provider would have to come up with reasonable cost and coverage. The new laws would require they offer three levels of coverage.

  • You know what? Was Claire McCaskill so busy that she couldn't attend?

  • This is so awesome. Can't wait until they come to San Antonio to give my reps a piece of my mind.

  • Great to see SO MANY pissed off people. Keep it up! I love how they send a "representative" from our representative!
