Thank you livingadream2 for posting this video! I came upon this one day and never heard this version but I fell in love with it! I know a lot of people would use this as their wedding song but I've thought about using this as my Father/Daughter dance at my wedding one day. My Dad is pretty much the best man I've ever known who's always been by my side and I'll never be able to thank him enough! Now if only I can find a man good enough as my father! :) Thanks again!
This is one of my favourite songs, sung by two of my favourite singers. I love the words, they mean so much, yet they are so simple. Together with the melody~it is just beautiful.
My, dad, use, to, play, this, song, when, i, was, a, kid, and, i, look, for, it, for, 10, good, years, finally, today, i, found, it, wow, amaizing, song,
my love is gone and i miss him so much and i have always loved country music and it has always been apart of my life . my husband grew to love country music by listening to the songs that i have always loved. he will always be apart of me always!!! cancer is so very cruel and doesn't discriminate. thank god for country music and all that sing it
This song brings back wonderful memories of the two wonderful people who have contributed tremendously to what I am today. Thank you so much to both of you Mama and Ntate K. I will never stop loving and respecting you both. I owe you two big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
Wayback in 1987, I was with my big sis visiting her boyfriend then, I first fell inlove with this song, I was around nine years by then. How I wish I could have been there for all of them before they broke up. They have two beautiful children, a girl of 24 years and a boy of 20. I'm so sorry about the divorce last year. It's haunting me everytime I think of them. A life so well lived but failed to compromise!!!!!!
For me, there is nothing better than this. I've loved it ever since I first heard it. Williams and Harris are incomparable. Shame they didn't do more together. This is, possibly, my favorite piece of music. Thank you so much/
Maan, this song reminds me of my dad(r.i.p.) , mom and sisters growing up in soche east..nice tune, and the next time i saw such a big picture together was when i took moms and sisters to a movie STEP MOM in `98 with my first check right before moms left for malawi to get my little sister Grace...oh i love it..........
Emmylou has a special place in my heart. My visits to Tuscaloosa , Alabama in 1981/2 etched the special sound of the South into my memory. Such a great duet from two classic singers. Dave Griff in Holyhead, North Wales

WOW!!!!!! What a pleasant surprise! Just may possibly be the best recorded version of this classic from the mind of TVZ! I also really enjoyed the cool pix, just a really great job livingadeam2, by all means, thank you for sharing some great work by two living legends: Long live and God Bless E.L. @paulmcs ----yeah he was. Susan Taylor, the female of the trio is still performing too. She goes be Taylor Pie & you can catch her on youtube also. She, unlike Don, stuck closely to the folk roots. She writes & sings beautifully.
azul, merci pour le partage, je suis content d'avoir trouvé cette chanson sur ce site, elle m'envoie directement vers mon enfance, et vers la beauté des paysages de Kabylie.
I had been 1 year in harfar Albatin and 2 years in Riyard Saudi Arabia for 3 years from1981 to 1983. Always I enjoyed this song of Don Williams. His song is in me always and forever. Thank You Don Williams !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably the best version of this song out there. Emmylou has the greates voice imaginable. My favorite female singer. And Don Williams is so unbelievably smooth.
thanks livingadream2...you dont know how much happiness you have brought to me with this song.i heard this song when i was 8yrs and now am 26..i wanted it soom much and thanks to you i have it now
For those that have missed sincere love this is just enough for you to get ignited. And for those who are still trying to finding good love, May the good God help you (Amen). Love has the best color when sincerely found.
This song is a classic. I used to listen to it on my dad's cassette player as a kid. Brings back a lot of memories. Thanks @livingadream2 for posting :D
This is my all-time favorite country duet...bar none. The song really has a wonderful folksy quality that seems to be lost on a lot of today's country. This song reminds us of the fact that folk music is one its major forebears.
A beautiful song & beautiful voices. My daughter has loved to listen to Don Williams along with us)since she was a little girl, about 2 years old & she is now 40. We saw Don Williams at a free concert once that our electric company put on.He sang non stop for about 2 1'2 hours or more, not even taking a break. He was great & so genuine. Emmylou is also very down to earth.I have seen her twice in concert, once in the early 70's & again in the 90's.Both times she wowed
