i remember watching this on tv when it came out and in my opinion, the actor who played john lennon was the best john lennon ever. i've seen other actors play john they were horrible. that's my opinion take it or leave it.

The beauty of this movie does not come from the accuracy of the event that took place, or the performance of the actor portraying John. It comes from the fact that the film was shot at actual localities in Liverpool which are historic. That was aunt Mimi's house, John's room, the school, the church. That makes it a very interesting film. Even one of John's band members is a musician currently playing ath the Cavern. That's really good for this film.

this movie is a bit more accurate than nowhere boy,were Julia is portrayed as really crazy woman who saw John again after uncle George´s funeral which is not true!. Julia loved John a lot and they saw each other quite often even when he was a small child
@slatskatya One thing which made me laugh was the John who's meant to be on 15 on this film looks about 30, He has one of the worst Liverpudlian accents ever and in the Cavern they play 'Stand By Me'... xD Still both good films :P I also didn't like how they make John out to be a total Knob in this film :/
