The version I have, when Fakir shouts, "AHIRRUUUUUU!" he spits everywhere. O_o; Looks like they clean him up later lol.

I actually played Ruslan and Lyudmilla in my Orchestra this year for competition. When I heard it playing in Princess Tutu with this scene, I was so ecstatic I'm sure anyone would have thought I was mentally unstable. I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot. :D The frantic joyousness of the music with the pure, fervent emotion of the scene really makes this a beauty of a moment. ^^

Then the old fart at the end of the clip would have said "Oh damn it!"

Yays! I luv this scene! Its way better in the original cos the English one sounds a bit off... don get me wrong - the voice actors did an amazing job in the dub [although mytho sounds like a rapist] but i i reckon it sounds better when fakir screams

That's okay, I like the Japanese dub better too. Fakir and Ahiru are pretty damn good in the english dub, but Rue and Mytho... Yyyeeaahh... They always take out the best parts in the english dub's or manage stuffing it up somehow, whether it's with the voices or with the script.

i LOVE this scene. the flurry of music, the 'together!, the 'she's the one who changed me', and then! the embrace! yay! and about the lack of subs, i remember that i was watching an episode (13, i think) in Japanese without subtitles cuz i wanted to see them on mah big screen without anything getting in the way and my bro walks in and asks, "where are the subtitles?", to which i reply,"i don't NEED no stinkin subtitles!" and he just shook his head in mock disgust. XD awesome.

I mean, they did a little bit of working together throughout the series, but it was usually kind of begrudging or as Fakir told her in Act 16, "Just do what I tell you" <_< I was like, pff! Come on! That's not working together! WAKE UP! You'll accomplish more by REALLY working together! And the "she changed me line" was another one I was happy to hear. XD ...Also, LOL at your brother. XDDD

But I'll always remember the first time I watched the Eng Dub of this scene. After watching the Jap Subs on YouTube for so long, I finally got to see this episode on Anime on Demand, and I was ready to yell out "Ahiru!" with Fakir at that one part, but then I hear "DUUCCKK!" and I was caught so off guard I was laughing for about 5 mins. Though I think the switch to Duck was a good choice (but Ahiru still sounds better).

LOL! XD I bet that was quite a surprise! I saw the full dub on DVD after I'd seen the subs. I just...can't get used to hearing "Duck". XD; It makes things more awkward throughout too, due to lip flaps. I know they dealt with that, but still, I just all-around prefer the Japanese version. ^^;

Well, I saw the Eng Dub first, and it was a while before I began looking into the Jap Subs online, so Duck doesn't bother me as much. And it seems reasonable to change it, since in Japan, the viewers would be hearing "Duck". I love both tracks, though generally end up listening to the Eng Dub just b/c I'm too lazy to bother with subs...
