I was obsessed with the band in the early-mid 90s. I can only imagine how I wudda felt hearing all these galaxies of unreleased gems back then! The pre-Gish era is interesting, with the big rock of Sabbath and Zeppelin gnashing into the layered lush gothic soundscapes. And all these songs should be released on a box set,or something.
Anyone liking the jangly, haunting guitars here, check out the Cocteau Twins, as musically I think they were an influence on Corgan- Heaven or Las Vegas. Great!
I was obsessed with them too (still am) in the mid 90s after being fortunate enough to find the early websites dedicated to sharing their rare and live songs like the Realm Of Soft Delusions, SPAA or Usenet. I spent many hours downloading the songs on my universities network and then zipping them all up across 90+ floppy disks.
Come to think of it that may be a contributing factor in my not getting a very good grade... oh well :D
Why cant Billy write more mello songs like this. His new stuff just dissapoints me and songs like this and set the ray to jerry or waiting put me in a good mood.
I thought Billy and Jimmy said they were releasing 50 demos or so from old recordings before Jimmy left the band but I haven't heard anything since. Does anyone know?
Well theres the new album that Corgan announced a week ago, "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope." Its more or less 44 songs that are going to be released as they're completed. That's the closest thing I know about.
as i have already mentioned in the terrapin video i got it from from an un-official compilation album of rarities and b-sides from the first pumpkin years
This is pretty good! People keep posting this videos, this is so cool!!

Sounds so much to the cocteau twins. The intro is almost the same as Carolyns fingers from the cocteau twins
