Charles had the chances of a lifetime in 1994 when Jordan retired and in 1995 when Jordan came back but was still rusty (got kicked out by Shaq). But instead of going back to the Finals like he did in his first year with the Suns in 1993, oh no!!! Sir Charles decided to let Hakeem and the Rockets get all the glory!I was rooting for Charles then and I was fucking pissed when he let that 15 point lead with only 5 minutes remaining in the game go away in smoke... Boy was I freaking MAD!!!

And I also believe that in one of the series against Houston - if not both -, the Suns were leading the Rockets 3 games to 1...

Then, after that, Barkley jumps on the bandwagon with the champions Rockets with two Hall of Famers, Olajuwon and Drexler, but can't even get to the Finals again and instead gets diced by Stockton, Hornycek and the Mighty Jazz...

Now you tell me: How should one judge that with retrospect regarding Charles' ringless legacy ?

in 1946, the owners and GM were trying to figure out what to call the team. Someone pointed out that there are a lot of Irish in Boston so they named them the Boston Celtics

Actually, the Original Celtics were a completely different franchise that played not in the NBA but in the ABL. They were defunct by sixteen years before the Boston Celtics, a Charter team of the BAA and NBA came along. They were indeed named the Celtics because of the Irish Population in Boston. Just because there existed a franchise with the name Celtics in NYC, also a city with a very large Irish population, does not mean the thereader18 is a "dumba--" I think that is a little off the mark.
