Many read into it some take the lessons at face value.It also says be fruitful and multiply, to create family and continue the human existance, which yes is the opposite of homosexuality, men are made for women and vis versa.There are lessons that applied to the people of that era, and some that apply to all mankind in general.

I don't see the Afghanistan war going anywhere. History (as far back as Alexander the Great) has always shown that. The Russians spent eleven years there, sending in God knows how many troops before they finally gave up, while the British tried (without major success) three times in the 19th/20th Century. Let's not forget that troops from several other countries in addition to the USA have been sent there, but there's still no end in sight nine years after invasion.

LOL When I was younger I was part of an effort to build a school for girls in Afghanistan. Looking at some old records it was in Badakshan. We raised money for it, and it was built in the latter half of the 90s. In 2004 it was burned to the ground (Taliban, not the electrical system that did it). Yes, not even one school? Still, I guess the schools for boys are allowed to stand. :D

I don't see the Afghanistan war going anywhere. History (as far back as Alexander the Great) has always shown that. The Russians spent eleven years there, sending in God knows how many troops before they finally gave up, while the British tried (without major success) three times in the 19th/20th Century. Let's not forget that troops from several other countries in addition to the USA have been sent there, but there's still no end in sight nine years after invasion.

LOL When I was younger I was part of an effort to build a school for girls in Afghanistan. Looking at some old records it was in Badakshan. We raised money for it, and it was built in the latter half of the 90s. In 2004 it was burned to the ground (Taliban, not the electrical system that did it). Yes, not even one school? Still, I guess the schools for boys are allowed to stand. :D

@pkingo1 Building is a lot cheaper in Afghanistan because you don't have to pay the workers as much and the building quality isn't as good as we're used to. Still pretty amazing though

I remember reading a story a about an Iraqi family driving down the road. They didn't slow down enough at a US checkpoint, and the parents were murdered by the US military. The aftermath was photographed by National Geographic. Three newly-orphaned children with their parent's blood and guts splattered all over their faces, trying to be "consoled" by the same people who had just murdered their parents. It's in National Geographic. US soldiers made those three children orphans.

He should be focusing on where the vast majority of spending is going. He needs to do a video on entitlements. I doubt he knows that we all owe over $110 Trillion dollars in entitlements spending. He should do a comparison on costs. Our gov't only brings in about $3 Trillion a year in great economic times. Where's the $110 Trillion coming from?

If you want money to be spent on health care, declare war on illness. Education needs funds? Declare war on ignorance.

Because only that dire a collapse would be able to make the military budget untenable to even the most staunch conservatives.
