i'm not ready to play this groove yet but what he does at 4:16 with his hihat is just genius(like pretty much everything in here) and it's an easy trick to put a little more variety in your playing while still keeping the groove... that's something i can work with... thanks tommy for being so awesome

He's using Zildjian K Custom Dark Hi-Hats. Great Hi-Hats but I use Sabian HHX-Celerator Hi-Hats, love them way more than any Zildjian Hi-Hats, even the ones he's using :D

Last week I bought Tommy`s DVD " great hands for a lifetime " .... i have made more progress in one week with his methods than I have made in a year of drum corps stuff ... the premiss is beautiful ... " doing simple things at a very high level " .... after I get my hands happening I am going to buy Groove Essentials ( both volumes ) .... Tommy , in my opinion , is the foremost educator today .
