This happens so often it must be because the driver panics since typically they are speeding and slams on the brakes loosing control. Keep your eyes on your lane, control your speed, and stay off the brakes. It is THE OPPOSITE LANE AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. Police cruisers get hit all the time due to this reaction from speeding drivers.

Tow truck was not driving on the left side of the road. Both of the vehicles got impacted on driver's side. Look carefull its a 4 lane highway with a median. Traffic is flowing on the RIGHT side of the highway both ways.

It's amazing that, if you watch the dog closely, he looks like he knows exactly what's coming and braces for it. You can see him brace when the truck suddenly turns, but then it looks as though he braces again when it sees the car coming. Cool.

The tow truck was driving on the left side of the road, which mean the driver's seat was on the right side of the car, not the left like in America. The driver would have been fine.

Tow truck was not driving on the left side of the road. Both of the vehicles got impacted on driver's side. Look carefull its a 4 lane highway with a median. Traffic is flowing on the RIGHT side of the highway both ways.
Tow truck driver was driving on the left lane on the RIGHT side of the highway. Meaning driver is in the left side of the vehicle driving.

oh. sorry then, ive never actually seen a four lane highway; they don't have them where i live. and because the man speaking is english (the accent), they drive on the left side, i just assumed.

yeah. if the guy in the car wasn't alright, they probably wouldnt have put the video up; it would make the cop in the video look like an idiot. i reckon they were more worried about the dog because he was thrown, being on the back of the truck/car/whatever, but they would assume the driver had his seatbelt on. and he (the cop) did go up to the other car, and probably would've seen the driver. thats my reasoning for the worry about the dog, but i agree with you about the driver
