Unfortunately this is very common in some Asian countries. In those countries depending on the situation, the woman has to do what a man says no matter who he is. To the men its a way to honor them but to the women... well... you get the idea.
@prtc31 as with most asian cultures women are supposed to be proper and not seem wild or slutty or such! It's part of an asian tradition foreigners don't get this!
I dont understand this rape thing in Thai dramas. I am Hispanic most Latino dramas have a lot of kissing and love making in then the female and male lead usually display there passion and attraction for each other fiscally . In Latino dramas it is ok for a female lead to appear seductive to the male lead and de seen enjoying the love making. But it seems to me that in this drama the female lead character is not aloud to express her sexuality No offence intended in my comment
Totally understandable since there is cultural differences. In most Asian culture and beliefs, it is valued that one keep their inner feelings to themselves when they know that it can disrupt the harmony of one's family and loved ones. In traditional Asian culture, it is an etiquette to not express your sexuality, especially for the woman, who is mostly always accepted as less dominant. Again, this is the traditional expectations and may not apply to all Asian cultures.
I don't get thai lakorns that have rape, is there like some special message the producers and directors want people to know or something???? i could name like 20 lakorns with rape off the top of my head!!!
This is exactly what pisses me off with lakorns; how do you expec a woman to want to be with the guy who raped her? Even if she gets pregnant!!! .. But still, I wonder if it's some variant of the Stockholm syndrome...
I have to say that I'm not surprised. I've seen this a lot in Lakorn "romances". I love Lakorn but sometimes they tak it too far. This also happened in Leh Ratee and a few others I can name. It's quite upsetting to see at times. I normally skip such things when I get the feeling it's going to happen.
I KNOW! Like i mean . . so wrong it's not romance is traumatizing and scarring and illegal slap/kiss genre is jus plain wrong! I love the bickering but not to such an extent!
i agree! even thou i watch a lot of thai dramas, they are just dramas, they are not real, anyways, i hope ppl out there don't take it serourly...like gooing and raping someone will not make them fall for you....not one bit...
@lana24 I'm refused. Long ago i thought like u think now but many ppl in thailand REALLY put these so damn seriously. And could you please look at us teenagers nowadays! They are imatating the behaviours from the media! And I think u may stopped thinking that this shit shouldn't be worried about.
i am not saying that, obvs. ppl do imate the media, and hopefully it is a small amount, because if we all did what the ppl in media do, then this would be one sick world we would be living at. but of course i don't live in thia and if these types of things are happing for real , then that is really depressing and something needs to be done about itt, hopefully, ppl will get together and protest or do something bout it to stop these nonesense.

in my opinion, men should be pressed up his "nafsu" for women seducing. so that there isn"t any rape accident
