@Flarettei -i think she's not literally killing a bird, but referring to the bird like something bad she did ( he saw what she did), so she "killed" it so no one would figure out what she did, but the guilt came back and haunted her in her dreams, so she couldn't help but cofess what she did- the song(aka the truth) was coming from her mouth~ anyways thats what i think :D

@danylovemcr To me this song is about how as humans when he make a mistake we want to spare our pride and not confess to being wrong. and sometimes we don't want to tell the truth about what we've done because we're scared of the consequences. The bird symbolizes guilt and how no matter how hard you try it's always trying to tell the truth. The end when she says "The song was coming from my mouth" it means that she was finally confessing what she'd done.

She once said though that when she sings she feels like everything's real, and that's how she expresses her emotions, and when she's just talking she feels like it's almost a lie. I think what she did "wrong" was that she couldn't tell someone how she felt, because she couldn't find the right words to express it.
