only reason the barb died is cuz force was a noob. he was playing the beta for the first time (i think) so he died 3 times. When he was playing the monk he had more experience.

this game is going to be reballanced 100 times after release, testing it with few people is something different than "testing" by 2 million players. So don't get excited, first barbs in D1 and D2 were also so powerful. At the end almost noone played barbs...

I love how everyone is so rusty...he picks up the Templar, and does not hand him a weapon...so the Templar starts hitting mobs with his fists ! Oh, and jumping into the middle of 3 underbosses and then not retreating...well, that will get y ou killed.....just thought I would mention that since you were wondering why you died.

You should probably play with untwinked characters. At least for me, when the gear you equip at the start of the beta from stash, carries you more then comfrotably through the entire beta, IDK, it just seems boring. To me at least, one of the greatest joys is finding loot for each new char, so I never play with twinked chars. I do realise that it makes these playthroughs shorter, but it kinda kills the joy for me.

For anybody wondering, all monsters in D3 are divided into:

- Normal monsters, basic monsters you see and kill (Alvl = Mlvl)

- Champions, more powerfull versions that have access to some powerfull champion mods

-Uniques/Superuniques, superuniques are always found on the same place while uniques randomly spawn (Mlvl = Alvl + 2)

-Mini Bosses, new monster type in D3, King Leoric and Thousand Pounder are examples of these monsters, they are stronger/more important then uniques

-Act Bosses

I would use ignore pain, cleave and weapon throw as the 3 abilities

Ignore pain - to prevent death

Cleave - because its good against packs of weak enemies which are the most common things you face, and since cleave is the aeo ability you can use the most its the best ability to use as a fury generator.

Weapon Throw because it is the highest single target dps ability and allows kiting, which is the best ability against single powerful enemies

I think this is the best starting combo.

nice play! this video shows how its the play on a beta test. you can see when an enemy its overpowered. those magic-kind-hydras such your healt too fast compared to normal enemies. so looks like the game needs a balance, maybe increase a little de dificult of the normal enemies and decrease these summoned magic beasts. great play. cant wait to put my hands on the game

so if thats supposed to be 1/3 of act 1 and it took roughly an hour...1st act will take 3 hours? so 4 acts will take 12 hours? on normal difficulty untwinked, for an RPG its extremely short..but i suppose with the replayability, extra difficulty levels, inferno and hardcore mode...and collecting loot for builds...near endless play i suppose. Still I wish they could of made the base content at least a 20 hour good campaign. No doubt the bastards will trickle the dlc and make us pay loads.

@iCOOLFACE You played Diablo 2? If you own a copy, run the first third of Act 1 and track time spent, and do the rest of the thirds of the game the same way. I bet the time spent on each third of each act will differ quite well from the first third of the first act, hm?
