  • I've called Medtronic with pump problems before. The time my pump died, I called at about 11am on a Saturday. No kidding-by 4pm that SAME day, I was able to go to UPS (only four miles from my home, so not a bad drive) and pick up my new meter! Amazing! They really come through for their patients. I have many good stories to tell, but not enough room, haha.

  • Thanks for the info.

I am surprising my husband with the pump for Christmas:). Now I know more about when to freak out and call.

I am also thrilled with their customer service And I am glad we are joining the family.

I do hope this is a good solution for my husband... We got sponsors from friends to help pay for the system. It's a dream come true.

    Happy holidays

  • Thank you, Been looking into pumps and this really helped.

  • medtronics has always given me great customer service, its good to hear they got you another pump so quick!!! nice to know for future references....

  • @zoedj MY MINIMED PUMP DIED ON ME & THE NEXT DAY I GOT A NEW PUMP.IT HAPPENED TWICE.I'VE HAD TYPE 1 FOR 73 + YEARS & ON THE PUMP 9 YEARS.GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US TYPE 1'S.KEEP GOING

    .

  • hey does anyone else's pump (medtronic minimed) sometimes say "No Delivery" because mine has been doing that a lot lately....

  • I think this only happened once and it was right around when it died. You should really call Medtronic and let them know. I have not seen this message since then and it only happened once.

  • alright thanks so much!

  • I had that same problem also right befor my pump stop working you may want to call Medtronic and let them know.

  • ok thank u!

  • @xDontBreakMyHeartx The "No Delivery" occurs with me on and off.. Every time it happens is when I've just (within afew hours) primed and somehow the canula gets bent and doesn't get inserted.. Once I am in ketones, I know that it hasproblably occured again.. It's a pain and I've always hated ketones, but now with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, not only am I experiencing the ketones symptoms, but the pain of the RSD is so much worse I can berely function..

  • Thanks for the info.

  • I've had some problems with the Cozmo pump. The same problem, 6 times in two years. I have changed the pump every time, because it was some kind of electronical problem.

I am very careful with my pump, still, this is happening all the time. So frustrating.

  • That definitely seems like a problem. With something so critical to our health, I am always scared it will break. I too am very careful with my pump.

  • I was on vacation and I had 4 or 5 cracks in my pump,,,well I got in the water and later went to give myself a bolus and it wouldn't work!! I looked at my pump & you could see the water inside of it!! I called Minimed, while sitting on the beach at 2pm and when I arrived home the next day, it was there at 1130am!!!

  • I had a very good experience with MM and can't say anything bad about them, except for the whole recall thing, but that's a different story.

  • i had 7 Deltec Cozmo pumps fail in 3 years, will have had my minimed for 3 years in december now and only had one fail.

  • WOW that seems like a ton for the Cozmo. I've been happy with Medtronic, except for the recent recall of the infusion sets. Thx for the comment!

  • it was a ton, Deltec thought I was cursed lol. I had all eight boxes recalled too : ( . They sent me one box back of straight in, but the cannula is much longer and the tubing is seriously longer than I am tall. Have you gotten any of the right size back yet?

  • My understanding is that they didn't have enough supply to change out everyone's full supply on hand. They are going to send a box every 3 weeks. The ones I got fit much better and are the exact match of my old ones. I work with Liberty Medical and not directly with Medtronic. Good luck.

  • I had a pump problem (cozmo at the time) and their customer support was outstanding.. I called with the emergency at 10am and recieved a replacement at 5pm the same day...

Is it just me, or do these problems only occur when your going on vacation????

  • Sounds so familiar! But mine died on a Friday night - East Coast time - and after a frantic call to Minimed I had a pump Saturday morning. I don't know how they managed it, but they did!

  • wait what exactly is it and waht did you do to trigger it?
