  • the music of orphaned land makes me feel good

  • Beautiful, I enjoyed that.

  • I was of the several hundred lucky people to witness this song live in Israel... "Perfection" just isn't strong enough a word.

  • This is one of the best riffs I have ever heard

  • Any ideas about the name of the instrument played between 3:14 and 3:24?

  • @tamercanpolat

    maybe its Arabian violins

  • @morwsl Thank you but what is the difference between normal violin and Arabian violin? Anyone got ideas? How I love to learn to play that stunning part.

  • @tamercanpolat kobi said in an interview that that its the same violins but different way of playing.

  • @morwsl Toda raba :)

  • que tema mas increible *-* esa flauta me re atrae y mas la guitarra \m/

  • I am proud to be middle eastern!

  • the whole album is absolutely masterpiece..

  • @KFSBTYR you're absolutely right

  • CTM! que se hace musica buena en el Oriente wn!!!

  • 3:10-4:30 is so cool, i dont know why

  • Ok the violin and other traditional instruments are just amazing in this song!

  • THIS IS SO AWESOME...but pretty long lol

  • This sounds so much like Opeth. I guess that's the influence of Steven Wilson. Really great song, anyway.

  • @cornishpastie9 really? I don't reckon they sound like Opeth at all.

  • saw these guys with swallow the sun and katatonia on 9/11. it was an awesome experience. got a poster from katatonia, its signed by katatnoia.

  • just one word fascinating

  • i was in a concert of them, in the part where theres guitar solo and ohhhohhh all the crowd sang together... what an energy...

  • very similar to opeth. very cool

  • certainly great...

  • i am rly starting to like this band gogo orphaned land FTW!

  • killer track!

  • favorite off latest album. it's perfect

  • 2:41 I get chills

  • @Nursesaids Same... It's emotionally liberating.

  • the solos at 2:39 and 6:21 fucking kickass!

  • rally this album is a masterpiece..maybe the best music iv ever heard!!

  • but no one sounds like orphaned!!

  • @ComeFromTheFlames

They remind me of Opeth a little bit BUT at the same time they are TOTALLY different. And absolutely fucking awesome.

  • @jrockzmyv382 this is orphaned land with the brain of (steven wilson) so think about it cheers dude :)

  • @ComeFromTheFlames Steven Wilson did not produce this album. He only mixed it. Orphaned Land produced the album and is the brain behind it ;)

  • @ComeFromTheFlames

oh! I totally know Steve Wilson is the reason behind some of the Opeth similarities... especially some of the vocal harmonies! However, there's a lot of things they do that I view as being even better than Opeth. I even prefer singing Kobi's voice to Akerfeldts. (I'm gonna get killed for saying that lol) :)

The one gripe I have about this album is: I wish the production of the drums was better... The drums don't sound EQ'd to be as punchy and powerful as they could be.

  • @jrockzmyv382 indeed dude im israeli and to hear it

makes me feel proud of my favorite band!

    אורפנד לנד forever

  • Great Song! The new Album is amazing... see you on Wacken!! i love Oriental Metal

  • but no one does it like orphened before!!!!

  • this is so cool. a few weeks ago a friend of mine told me about Orphaned Land, but i was like: wtf? what music is that? oriental + metal music? it's shit; this is what i thought in that moment, but, in fact, it's really awesome!

  • @Bedragersk Hehe, there are lots of Oriental bands that you are maybe listening to.

Behemoth use Oriental riffs,Iron maiden have songs with Oriental riffs,Artillery has one song if I remember correctly.

Want a very very good oriental band?Black Metal check out Melechesh.

  • @IsraeliMetalhead Thanks. I know Melechesh, but I think I have to listen more of their songs. Though I listen Iron Maiden, I didn't notice.

  • @IsraeliMetalhead Tiamat are a Swedish band that like to use a lot of Sumerian mythology in their lyrics and middle eastern influences. Search up Four Leary Biscuits.

  • @IsraeliMetalhead Absu and Nile are bands pretty much obsessed with middle east mythology or music atmosphere. And another excelent Israel bands: Salem and ArallU. \m/

  • @IsraeliMetalhead correct musical term is harmonic minor instead of oriental :)

  • @IsraeliMetalhead I met some members of the band Melechesh during a drumclinic of Gorge kollias drummer of Nile

  • @Bedragersk well that's a stupid way to think, but I guess you know that now...

  • @Bedragersk You can also check Enuma Elish by Rotting Christ.
