the cyclone and wonder wheel are wonderful landmarks of coney island. i have never been on it before though, theres a rumor saying they'll close the cyclone 2011 and switching to steel tracks. :(

Also, don't knock the fries in the ice cream until you've tried it. It's AWESOME! Matter of fact, one thing I've always done since I was a little kid was dip my fries in my Frosty whenever I went to Wendy's. It truly is a religious experience!

I'm not javy125, but my guess is that because parts of Coney Island are being bought up and shut down by a developer that hasn't really said what its' plans for the area are, it's nice to know that certain rides like the Cyclone and Wonder Wheel are landmarked and will never be shut down.

Oh. I see. Thanks for the info! :) In which park is the ferris wheel that has the cars that move around, on their separate track on the inner part of the wheel?  I thought there was a ferris wheel that had two sets of gondolas. One within the wheel that could glide around on its separate track in the wheel and the outer edge which were the standard kind that stayed stationary.

We were there that day. My mom is on the unload platfrom at 5:30. We were on that train that went by. And I saw myself and some friends in a few shots ;). I'm from Coney Island and I used to work in Astroland, so I like this video!
