  • wow...1080P Blu-ray quality :-P

  • What I love about Euro racing is the race in any condition, in America we get rain stop the race! Also we do alot of ovals, cool for NASCAR and spectactors, but true racing is road racing IMO. F1 is king of all! DTM is sweet too!

  • Popularity = Better?

Dammit! I knew Justin Bieber was one of the best singers in the world!

  • yeah mario All the unsers AJ they all suck huh you dumb F..............s

  • F1 and Indycar are pretty even on the oval. Compare them on a road course----F1 will blow Indy away.

  • your ppl from germany or where ever the hell some of you ppl r from Dont know real racing cuz all you have is gay F1 and 24 hours of le-mans

  • Like everything car wise, European racing, European performance cars, supercars, sportscars, its the real thing vs american where there is brute force but no technology. Mostly on oval tracks. Weird how they dont seem to catch up.

  • billyfowler=american inbred faggot

  • who won ?

    The indycar ?

  • @LloydNorin lols noooo!

  • Lol at oval track

  • The difference between F1, Indy, and NASCAR is the rules they play by--and also the budget. F1 cars have tons of money pumped into them so that they're the fastest machines on the planet. Indy is supposed to be the "everyman's F1" in the sense that you don't have to be a part of a multi-billion dollar franchise in order to join the sport. NASCAR is also aimed at lower-budget teams, but the rules require the cars to be big and heavy. They're not better or worse--just different. I like them all.

  • they should have compared with a mclaren on a road course

    not a speedway

  • geez i hate long comments

  • AND i here how u american guys say european tracks are shit JUST REMEMBER 2 WORDS Nurburgring Nordschlife 20.8km of the most demanding track in the WORLD tell me how some off u guys say its SHIT to the INDY 500 Reply to all my comments Please

  • @captinspeedy1 I've never heard an American say that. I've heard many people get into arguments about the difference between European and American CARS, but I've never heard them get into arguments about TRACKS. Europe has a lot of great tracks: Nordschleife (of course), Silverstone, Monza, Monaco, etc. We've got a lot of great tracks over here, too: Laguna Seca, Sebring, Road America, etc. Tracks like Indianapolis have more of a sentimental value.

If you were looking for a fight, I'm sorry.

  • +plus when nigel mansell went indy he won the campionship in his first year that really shows how inferior some drivers were to mansell at the time. WHAT HAPPEND TO Al unser jr, christian fitapaldie, eddie cheever, michael andretti, Bobby Rahal all these famous drivers in indy car What happened when they came f1 they could't take DA HEAT that just tells me Massell leaving f1 for Indycar was just a joy ride for him Indycar BOOT CAMP for F3000 and GP2 and GP3 Just shows how inferior some drivers r

  • I'M JUST STATING THE FACTS HERE f1 in 2008 were atracting 600 million views per race in 201 countries and in 2001 f1 got 54 billion views in that year over the 17 races. Plus when i here american talk about we get brute power out of v8 europeans use v10 v12 v16, Have you guys forgoton in 1986 williams bmw f1 team were getting 1400+ hp out of 1.5ltre straight 4's! indy car when they got there turbo they got only 1000hp and if you dont believe me check it up 4 yourselves.

  • OK please stop fighting about f1 being better than one another think about it this way,

F1- Watch till first pit-stop whoever is in 1st, Good race.

Indycar- watch last 50 laps because that's where the action is.

  • So... The F1 car WON!? Didn't expect that! I don't quite know why, but I find that immensely satisfying!

  • There is more money involved in F1 and so it attracts the elite drivers, Franchetti couldn't get a drive in F1 but has excelled at Indycar. Nigel Mansell left F1 for a year and won the indycar title as a rookie. Villeniuve has stated the driver fitness regimes are much more stringent in F1 too, its also a massive global franchise far bigger than indycar. No brainer really. Is it more exciting ? A matter of opinion I suppose, I find WRC more exciting anyway as they actually look like regular cars

  • indy car f1 blah bla blah blah strap anyone of those drivers in a 410 winged or wingless sprint car at eldora and they would shit their pants. lol!

  • dude, you need to invest in a tri-pod,,,seriously

  • NASCAR is for people who never made it to formula 1 or can't turn in different directions

  • @MattyB0yMatMatMat so NASCAR is the "Derek Zoolander" of Racing?? Interesting

  • Plus it helps getting free pit and garage passes from my uncle whom is the chief safety inspector for the Indy Racing League

  • Ahem... Indy's can be set up to run on a circuit or an oval. Just adjust left wheel camber to toe-in right wheel toe'd out and some aero adjustments for oval, or both wheels toe-out for circuit. Indy's are versatile brah. Indy racing isn't just for rednecks... Half the drivers are foreign. Helio Castroneves, Dario Franchitti to name a couple of my favorites. Its all left up to preferance. I like GT1, Indy, Rally, AND F1. But nascar blows period ;)

  • @chadaf2010 lol foreign. Cant you just say not american? I heard it summed up perfectly the day a guy said Americans are the only people to visit a country and call everyone there foreigners.

  • @koretell Nice response! I see you put in alot of thought

  • @javerkligen They actually don't! In the UK no NASCAR is broadcasted and indycar can only be seen on pikey channels like setanta sports! In Europe France watches a bit but not as near as much as F1! This is mostly due to indycar and NASCAR only done in the not so united states! Australia have their own racing series which they follow and Mexico only watch it because it's a little bit local!

  • Screw Formula, RALLY is where real drivers must have real balls! xDDD

Now seriously: different series = different skills. No more, no less.

  • I'm in America and think open wheel is way better than Nascar. Nascar is incredibly boring. Can't tell you how much I miss Champ Car. Watching CART at Fontana was a real treat.

  • uhh idk if anyone has eyes but notice that the indy car got a rolling start and the f1 cars got a standing start!

  • F1 is faster but indycar is a hell lot better. the worlds greatest race in Racing is the Indy 500 which Is indycar

  • @braddaboss1 Indy 500 is America's greatest race, not worlds. Ask people around the world if they ever heard of Monaco GP and then ask about Indy 500. Its not all about american ratings like billyflower said. America isnt all that great either, and its gonna keep going downhill. And I am American, I am just not ignorant like most of us are.

  • @braddaboss1 Actually, the world's greatest race is the Le Mans 24 hr, featuring the pinnacle of technology and teams pushing themselves for a whole day.

F1 and Indy both have their good and bad points, they both have their own set of fans, but at the end of the day, all motorsport is about people driving machines to their limit for the entertainment of others and for that, I applaud all drivers and series.

  • so who won f1 or indy?

  • NASCAR is a shit

  • I'd like to see them race on the actual circuit, not just the parking lot.

  • American drivers are ridicolous in any competitions...

  • @roby70juve That's pretty funny because Carl edwards kicked Schumi's ass at the ROC in 09!

  • @roby70juve juve... juventus? Sei italiano? Per favore non chiamare gli statunitensi come "americani" (1 agg dell'America)

Anche Giles Villeneuve, Ayrton Senna, Juan Manuel Fangio e Nelson Piquet erano americani.

  • 'The FORMULA INDY HAS GIVEN A LESSON IN HOW TO WALK IN FORMULA 1 THIS IS FACT! RSRSRSRSRRSSR!

  • @xpozd2radar

Well, car collectors pay millions to buy a Ferrari F1 car which belonged to Michael Schumacher or Niki Lauda. They pay millions to own Ayrton Senn'a Lotus from 1985.

Who the hell collects Indycars anyway? They are all the same, since both the chassis and engines are bought by the teams. In F1 the teams build their OWN chassis, and in some cases their own engines too.

Btw, if it wasn't for LOTUS introducing mid-engines cars in Indy, they'd still drive front engined roadsters.

  • @xpozd2radar

In Indycar ALL teams use Dallara chassis (Made in Italy) and Honda engines (Made in Japan). It's essentially a "one-make series".

    You're just a stupid kid aren't you??

  • @McLarenMercedes haha i dont know that much about indy car and f1 but i know that indy cars sound better and are sexier

  • @bnfergus (Continuation) The forces exerted in full breaking forces the driver to exhale, under heavy cornering the load on the neck goes up to as high as 67lbs, over 5x the max of what a normal human neck can bear (also must include the fact previously stated that it's G forces coming from all different directions). While all this is going on, they're trying to focus on hitting their breaking points spot on, following their line, keeping their eye on people behind and attempting to overtake...

  • @Choice777 and @wildboy122 Or if you don't believe me, perhaps you'll believe a couple guys who have driven both (and one held both titles at once), both videos on here.

Mansell talking about the differences in cars. FRcMeRtWCZU (in the CART era)

Fittipaldi talking about what makes Indy so appealing and difficult (also OJ): yTmJ6xD58QQ

There are hosts of drivers commenting on the difficulty of high speed ovals - it seems it's only the fans who contest it.

  • @bnfergus Ovals require nothing but endurance and patience. If you have those two, and the lack of fear, you're set.

  • @Choice777 and @wildboy122 You can argue that Oval racing is boring to watch but to argue that there is no skill in it is insane.

Racing constantly on the edge of traction in traffic for 500+ miles at speeds F1 seldom sees (in the case of IndyCar) makes for very difficult and subtle racing. A tiny mistake and you're in a wall.

Road races are at lower speeds, have more opportunity for overtaking, and are more forgiving of mistakes. However, they are very entertaining.

  • @bnfergus "A tiny mistake and you're in a wall." Thats the same with almost all forms of racing. Want to talk about tiny mistakes ending your fun, look at Monaco bud, and in that case the opportunity for overtaking is NOT higher, and it is in no way forgiving. Oh and yes, VERY entertaining.

  • yeah look how there useing one of the shittest cars in formula one

  • think you'll find that the f1 was in front on the second lap

  • The technical data changes with time.New retrictions have lowered the engine displacement in Indy 4.0 litre to 3.6 litre and allowed the F1 2.0 litre grow to 2.4 litre.

This event probably took place with 4.0 indy vs 2.4 F1 to make it exciting for the fans, as no way that both units can race against each other but in exhibition races.

  • @blacksheepgargoyle F1 got reduced from 3lt to 2.4 lt, I don't think there has ever been a 2 lt f1 car. Before the 3 lts there were3.5 lt and before that 1.5 lt turbo.

  • this is the only video I have ever seen that was shot in order to make the american motorsport fans fuzzy at heart with their beloved circle tracks. Before making any comments, do your homework and compare the engine specifications as baseline. F1 is alittle bit over than half the size of its opponent Indy. On other notes: Nascar must use the same chassis, only the engine and the stickers are supplied by the teams. In F1 all cars built by the teams. F1 is international, not american only.

  • lol super agura f1... the wrost f1 car in history... hehehe

  • Take both cars to a real circuit... Bye bye Indy...

  • Hahaha! F1 are the most powerful, complete, sofisticated racing cars in the world. seconde to none! with the right settings (accel./max speed) they could beat an indy, or a nascar, or a lmp1 (LMP1 are the best of the bunch here) on their own tracks!

f1 can go 0/100 kph in less than 3 seconds and they've got a max speed of over 360 kph (with the common settings), with a max speed (in early 2000s) of over 400 (you can find the video here in youtube)! now god knows how fast they are!

  • is the indy car Helio Castroneves

  • Indy and F1 SUCK! I'm a fan of Sports car racing Le Mans, American Le mans, DTM, and Grand-am. They are more stock car racing than NASCAR nowadays. yes I like NASCAR, but not as much as I used too it's ALL spec now, but i still don't mind watching a race here and there. Back in the 60's, 70's, and 80's NASCAR was in it's prime. You F1 fans are just as ignorent as any NASCAR fan and your even worse. To say that you could train a monkey to drive in NASCAR or tie a rope to the wheel is so retarded.

  • If you think steering a car a over 200mph is easy lets see if your balls are really big enough to do it, I bet you would turn into the corner far to early and then would coast around until you get on the gas to early and slide out. There is a skill to driving Indy cars and its who has the biggest balls. These drivers get the cars in so hot that they're sliding in and out of corners. Big balls at the speeds their doing and alot of skill.

  • @777hdt dick head f1 cars DO go round corners at 200 mph but both ways and have to use the brakes quite often, not to mention changing gear nearly 150 times a lap instead of coastin round in top gear for 5 hours get an education red neck!

  • @davenrachel1 No need to be like that!!!!! I agree that F1 cars are great to watch and a skill is required to drive them. They do have gears albiet electronic paddles and they do turn corner alot. My point was that it takes skill to drive any form of cars at great speeds. SO FUCK OFF !!!!!!!

  • @777hdt I see no point drive cars in circles, high or low speeds, still pointless.

Im not the person who said Indy and F1 cars suck you idiot- it was Jared1452 you FUCKWIT!!!!

  • @davenrachel1 Uh, does F1 still use manuel trans? Yeah the technology of F1 is awsome, but the racing is boring, and the cars look exactly the same, in NASCAR at least the have different body shells which F1 does not have. I used to like F1 back in the 70's ad 80's, but now It's crap. I was never really a fan of open-wheel, but I respect it neverless. In Le Mans the technology in the cars is more relevent to the cars we actually drive and NASCAR is still awsome to me regardless FUCK OFF!

  • @Jared1452 WHAT THE FUCK YOU RETARDED REDNECK INBRED MORON!!! You dont know shit about F1 so go fuck off and have sex with your sister.

  • @PalkiaLova112 LOL, are you serious? I know quite alot about F1 actually and I'm just not interested. For the LAST FUCKING TIME, I'M JUST NOT INTO OPEN-WHEEL!!! I perfer Sports car, Stock car, and Top Fuel Drag racing. American Le mans, Japan Super GT, NASCAR ( not as much as I used too), Grand-Am, NHRA, and even IHRA drag racing is what I like to watch and I'm considered a IMBRED for that? You people make me laugh by blowing it all out of proportion XD. Not everyone likes F1 pal, DEAL WITH IT!!

  • @PalkiaLova112 come on bro yes F1 cars are fast as fuck, but the racing is boring as fuck as well they just follow each all day long no bumping no grinding just boring racing, just face it NASCAR is the best racing there is,stop being a pansy wine drinking fag and come have a beer with the real men dude!

  • @billyfowler88 in formula 1, the drivers are the best in the world, they are not supposed to bump and grind priceless 24million dollar cars. the drivers in indycar are horrible, thats why there is so much bumping

  • @PalkiaLova112 No F1 drivers are mainly good at what they do. Only a few drivers like Mario or Kimi are able to dominate every single series. Indy bump because it adds some excitement. I don't like the races that are determined in the first corner. Indy is a different type of open-wheel type of driving. By the way I was at an autograph signing with Mario Andretti. I asked him what was the hardest type of racing did he do. He said Indy, because he had to be good at both road courses and ovals.

  • @billyfowler88 "The repeated lapping for almost 2 hours in a race can be compared to a professional boxer beating a body tied up in a sack. If an unprepared person drives the car with the same intensity as the drivers in a race, then the G-forces can end up tearing the muscles and snapping a tendon or two." F1 drivers are real men, they are fucking BEASTS, NASCAR Drivers are fucking fatass talentless redneck pricks, and bitch I'm a beer drinking american, you're the only faggot here.

  • @billyfowler88 An F1 car is not an Indy car, Indy cars are much heavier, and have less power. ON average, per year, there are 200 million views for Nascar, in a single race in Formula One there can be up to 100 million views, and there are going to be 21 races in next years scheduled, so you do the math buddy. Formula one is not boring, it was for a while there, but it's pretty damn exciting right now. I'm guessing you didn't watch the Monaco GP this year. It was edge of your seat excitement.

  • @bob333336 well lets Agree we are both race fans atleast...

  • @billyfowler88 That I will agree with. ;)

  • @bob333336 i totally agree with you drs kers, new tires made F1 very exciting but i really don t like the fact vettel always wins.i hope alonso will get a better and hamilton is a very offensive driver.

ps:i heard F1 will have 1.6 turbo engines (V4) in 2013 if they do that i will stop waching F1

  • @enverelkeda You kiddin me? I can't wait for the smaller engine. Stronger KERS+Turbo+small engine. Back in the 80's they had 1.5L turbo engines making 900+hp. Good riddance.

  • Comment removed

  • @enverelkeda It was going to be l4, not v4, but they actually scrapped that and the FIA and all the teams have finally agreed on an engine (because there was a huge fuss between the FIA and the teams about the inline 4's and no one wanting to use then), and now they're moving over to the 1.6L V6 Turbo's in 2014. :D

  • @bob333336 your right i heard about v6 a week after i posted that,idk why i wrote v4

  • @bob333336 And what about the Canadian GP ?!?!?! THAT WAS A HELL OF A RACE...

  • @marietorma Hell yea it was! I literally jumped out my seat and started screaming in joy on the last lap! Brilliant performance from Button!

  • @bob333336 YEAH !!!! Jenson's the man !!!!!

  • @billyfowler88

    1. F1 has the highest ratings WORLD WIDE. It's broadcasted in over 200 countries world wide. The world is bigger than just your trailer park or the rural redneck states. Nobody watches Nascar outside the States. Nobody. Yet another schmuck that thinks ratings in the USA automatically means the same for the rest of the world. Nobody watches soccer either in the USA, but it's the biggest sport worldwide.

    2. You're so unbelievably stupid and ignorant, flagging you is an obligation

  • @McLarenMercedes canada mexico russia australia and usa is about the only ratings nascar get becuase it doesnt travel worldwide

  • @McLarenMercedes Bull, millions outside us watch both indy+nascar.

  • @McLarenMercedes WANKER

  • @McLarenMercedes americans just never seen an atlas. being brainwashed even at school doing prayers for AMERICA in front of the american flag. they think the world end at the borders. they think everything outside the borders is a shithole, while america still is just a big european colony. They cant handle the fact that everything they do, theres always some other country doing it better.

  • @mkampinga you act just as ignorant as the racist red neck fucks who gave us our reputation because you assume that all americans are the same.. Sure you are right about 75 percent of americans cuz they are all blind to the fact that our country is made up of every other country put together and we would be nothing without everyone, but i can say the same for you. You sir would be nothing without us just like we would be nothing without you. Now that our economy is failing the whole world hurts

  • @McLarenMercedes Please don't call it soccer ... it's football for everybody ... only not for them. Actually that's an World cup that brings teams from ... huuummmm ALL THE WORLD. They call themselves world champions of Baseball ... who else plays that game?

  • @davenrachel1 I also have an education you Prick. Guess what I said F1 is not the best motorsport anymore, GET THE FUCK OVER IT! Like i said I don't mind watching a race once and awhile, but I like Sports car racing, NASCAR, and Even Drag Racing more. We all don't think like you saying F1 is the Elitest form of motorsports.

  • @davenrachel1 WANKER RED NECK

  • @davenrachel1 I AME EDUMACATED U WONKER!!!!!!

  • F1 sound much better

  • take both of them to spa and then lets see what happens=)

  • Just add two right turns and shall we see how many seconds the F1 finishes ahead of the indy crap!

  • freaking tornado sirens

  • IROC is a race that takes place on multiple track types and has drivers from F1 cart indy nascar sports car GT and all other classes. Go down the long list of winners clear back to the 1970's.......there all nascar drivers. Seems F1 and nascar have something in common. F1 tech is second to none and nascar drivers are second to none. so funny how a "redneck" can out drive a snob.....

  • @origionalwinja I'd love to see an exchange program.

  • put f1 in a race scenario on a oval w / more cars on the track-you think!!!!

  • it's all about how the race unfolds! indycars have the best races, closest finishes! can't say that for nascar or f1

  • @km10nner what the fuck... indy is horrible!

  • @PalkiaLova112 yea i know its horrible, this retarded inbred moron thinks it is

  • Indycar building for oval tracks, when F1 build to undergo winding turns at high speed...

  • indycar is heavier , slower and more danger than the f1 car

    heavier -the f1 car weight (605 to 620)kg - indycar weight(725 to 735)kg

slower- the f1 car can reach in stright line nearly (400km) the indycar nearly (340km)

dangers - just compare Alex Zanardi accident in 2000 and Michael Schumacher accident in Australia 94

  • F1 IS BUILT FOR EXTREME CORNERING BOTTOM LINE. NOT FOR OVAL. THAT IS WHERE IT PUTS A LOT OF EMPHASIS IN THE DESIGN. LIKE THE OLD SAYING. "POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT CONTROL". F1 CAR IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE ULTIMATE RACING MACHINE. I CALL THEM MACHINE THEY ARE NOT REALLY CARS.

  • im sorry a monkey could even drive all f1 cars... FFS get with it nascar all the way...some of your drivers and team owners have switched to nascar because its so much harder... these f1 cars drive themselves with all the electronics... try to drive a 3400 pound (1500kg) car 200 mph (320 kph) around those ovals and literally touching the guy infront of them... not to mention having a clutch and shifter....

  • @z28newb are you that monkey that thinks it can?

  • @z28newb Lmfao. A monkey could drive all F1 cars? Even the ones w/o driver aids or synchro gearboxes? Sure. F1 is about pushing motorsport engineering. Nascar is about going straight and then.... turning left. Going straight... and left again. Left. Left. Left. 8 hour pit stop. Left. Left. Left. Eventually the hicks get bored, and someone with 2 first names is declared the winner or someone crashes and everyone rams into him and ruins the "race". Yeah, sign me up bubba.

  • @ABCDEFR no nascar is about breeding the best drivers in the world... if you want to see the best cars in the world race watch F1 if you want to watch the best drivers race at 200 miles an hour sideways out of a half mile turn and save it watch nascar... also i dont know if you know that nascar does do road corses too

  • @z28newb are you fucking retarded? i could train a monkey to drive in nascar.. ALL if fuckign takes is steering left.... hell i could even tie a shoe lace to the steering wheel and door handle..same fuckign results.

  • @Choice777 lol! i think i could train my dog too.

  • @Choice777 the most exciting thing in nascar is when they turn left

  • @svengnr thought it was the after party? no fun there!

  • @Choice777 woah there mister you try a driver a nascar with a f1 car you have a quarter of the weight and 4 times as much grip the stock is over 3000 pounds and so loose you prolly take off in to the wall as so as you try to turn dumb ass

  • @Jzoutis so ? whos fault is it for beying a heavy piece of shit ? just like i said nascar sucks and probably a trained monkey could drive it. actualy i could tie the steering wheel to the door handle with a shoe string and it would winn all of the races.

  • @Choice777 Your a complete idiot! I could eaisly train a monkey to drive in F1 or Indycar, your statement makes no sence! Yeah I like NASCAR, but I'm a bigger fan of Sports car racing DTM, Le Mans, Grand-am, American Le Mans. Cars that LOOK like the cars we actually drive. F1 and Indycars are NOT real cars. I dont' mind watching an F1 or Indycar race once and awhile. Anyway my point is that your a complete idiot! z28newb is right it does take skill, but not as much as Sports car racing or F1!

  • @Jared1452 ok. i'd like to see you use only a shoe lace and a brick to win a F1 race. can i can use a shoelace to tie the steeringwheel left to the door, and a brick to accelerate the car. and it wins cause the brick&shoelace combo hav more brains that most nascar drivers. can you win a F1 race with a lace and brick ?

  • @Choice777 i hope ur talking bout winning a superspeedway cause that brick would kill u at Martinsville

  • @Choice777 Right now, the way your talking, NASCAR drivers have more brains than you. In F1 can you tie a shoelace and shit to a wheel, OF COURSE NOT!!!! The same goes to NASCAR you could never tie a shoelace to a wheel and win! You'd run of of fucking gas! To say that you could easly do that is just retarded. Congrats you just made a redneck look smart.

  • @Jared1452 obviously you are a retarded inbreed. I was talking aout the steeryng wheel moron. not a wheel. you fucking retard. learn to read , and learn to interpret. you fucking hamster iq'd idiot.

  • @Choice777 Yeah, i could easily win an F1 race with a lace and a brick. I'd tie the brick to the lace and swing it around, hitting the other drivers in the head before the race, leaving me the only person out there lol.

  • @Choice777 wow actually nascar is way harder to drive then an f1! especially when they go to road course! f1 is a bunch of technology with highspeeds and g force! and i have experienced it before driving one and is way difficult

  • @Choice777 not any one can drive a nascar, its very difficult im a future nascar driver and if you wanna try, i can help to get a car, so if you have not drive a nascar yet as i do, plz shut the fuck off thanx

  • @Choice777 except for tony stewart, all open wheel guys have sucked in nascar! explain that!

  • @italianforu1 Different racing series demand different skills, that is why barely any driver has been successful in multiple forms of motor racing. You should go take a look at some of these:

    Raikkonen pole spa 2007

Sebastian Vettel Pole Lap Korea 2010

    Kimi Raikkonen 2005 pole monza

    Robert Kubica onboard Monaco 2010

F1 Kimi Raikkonen - Spa 2002 qualy - Full lap

F1 Monaco 2004 - Kimi Raikkonen pre qual lap

Then tell me if NASCAR can even compare.

  • @MetaKnightsKirby i love f1, as i do ALL racing types. it would be cool to see what kyle busch, carl edwards and a few other nascar elite could do in f1. we will never know however, these guys are too comfortable where they are and would never sacrifice the money and security they have now, to try and prove themselves in f1. btw, the drivers and cars in f1 are far superior to indy racing!!!

  • @italianforu1 I do recall a NASCAR driver swapping drives with Montoya for a day at the F1 Indy course back in 2001. Granted, the 2001 Williams was at least the second best car on the grid, but the NASCAR driver set a lap that was good enough for tenth on the 2001 grid, not bad for a first attempt.

  • @MetaKnightsKirby He drove it for a probably 15 minutes, try doing that, on the knife edge, for nearly two hours, and see what happens...

  • @bob333336 The guy in question was Jeff Gordon and if you look at his past, he can drive anything with wheels. I have no doubts that he could hack a full length GP race, in fact, he'd probably consider it an early day compared to his Nascar outings.

  • @Choice777 Yeah call someone a retard, but you don't even know your facts. If it is so easy then why isn't there a dumb fat bloke in it that wins every race? One reason why is because you have 42 other drivers going against you waiting for you to slip. One person told then don't screw and you're fine right? Wrong if it was only as simple as that. Yes F1 cars are probably very hard to drive and very scary, but in a NASCAR stock car the car never wants grip. Get sideways good luck getting it back.

  • @Choice777 Besides have you even driven one. Of course not. I have a NASCAR game and nobody can make it without hitting the wall and spinning, and that's just a game. Do the shoe lace thing and the car will hit the wall because it would be too fast in the corner. Actually you wouldn't get it started because there would be no one pushing the gas pedal. Don't expect you to reply because in reality you don't even know the motorsport. Either that or some stupid hate message.

  • @theMstanglover ...

ok i see your point... you have nascar GAME that is difficult... ooooh that explains all dude... cmon i know both type of competitions are different, but a game??? playing gran turismo for the first time is also difficult if you have never played a similar game, but that will noit mean that if you get on a ferrari you'll be crashing everything around

  • @Maletacs What I was trying to say if you can't keep the car straight in a game then you probably won't have much luck with real life. I guess didn't say that clear enough.

  • @theMstanglover no problem :)

  • @Choice777 your stupid.

  • @Choice777 id like to see you try it mate... it would be your ass in hospital and i would laugh

  • @Choice777

WTF is it with you people that disrespect any sport so easily. You think F1 takes skills? go to WRC, hell even the guys at WRC are getting soft. It's the fucking 21st century, every Motorsport this days are not what they used to be. F1 of today take's zero skills compared to 20 years ago, if you want skills look at the era of Group C. So before you downplay Nascar take a good look at the series you are supporting.

  • @bogueji1 Its not very accurate to say F1 takes zero skills compared to 20 years ago. F1 drivers still have almost no electronic aids, a common misconception is that the car does everything for them. All that they have are flappy paddle gearboxes and aerodynamics to help them, theres no traction control, no stability control, no engine braking, etc. Ever watch Top Gear? look up Richard Hammond trying to drive an F1 car. However, the only series that took true skill was Group B rallying.

  • @VforVelocity :Driver skill needs every Highest competition Formula, regardless openwheeler or closed cars. Actually f1 cars are full of electronic and aids, look onboard old f1 turbo car 1986 versus today cars steerings. How they are steering in turns? Even the DFV aera they must been very skillfull! And yet today, every aera!

  • @samothsamothsamoth I agree with you mate, its just back in the 80's those F1 cars had much less aerodynamic help then the cars have now days. I think thats why there is less steering input required. Back a few years ago F1 did have traction control and all those electronic aids but now they've started to reduce those aids which I personally think is for the better.

  • @bogueji1 Completely untrue, the workload in the F1 cockpit for the driver has actually increased while the number of aids allowed has decreased.

  • @Choice777 i really hope u dont belive that.lol

  • @z28newb Lmao, no, NASCAR is about inbreeding some hicks to go around a circle in last century tech. Why in gods name would I want to watch the best (meaning: Senna, Prost, Piquet, Mansell, Berger, Villeneuve, Schumi, etc.) drivers waste their talents competing in the Redneck 500? LMFAO. Wake up dude. Idk if you know this, but they have dumbed down F1 for people like you. It's called Indy. They used to have CART, but... "Cant...watch. Brain.... hurt... so... much. Must... turn... left."

  • @ABCDEFR presuming you mean Jille not Jacques Villneuve right ;)? And Berger...really?

  • @z28newb WELL YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT HARD TO DRIVE VEHICLE? HOW ABOUT AN 18 WHEELER. THAT IS A LOT MORE CHALLENGE THAN A NASCAR. 13 SPEED GEAR BOX. 53 FOOTER TRAILER. 80,000 POUNDS VEHICLE WHEN LOADED. PUT ONE OF UR RACE CAR DRIVERS IN IT HUH? I BET I CAN BEAT THEM I'M A TRUCKER FOR 13 YEARS. WITH A MILLION AND A HALF MILES BEHIND ME. A MONKEY CAN DRIVE TRUCK TOO I GUESS IT SMARTER THAN A NASCAR DRIVER. LOL

  • @tangnatalaga sorry to disappoint you bubba but nascar drivers require knowledge in math and physics that would blow you out of the park... and yes driving an 18 wheeler is hard i could only imagine but its nothing like ice skating at 200... and last but not least caps lock is cruise control for cool amirite?

  • @tangnatalaga I'm on your side, I agree NASCAR is retarded, but ever tried taking a corner at 5 g's? Can be slightly difficult (talking about F1 obvs, not hick-car).

  • no there really isnt much debate about these lol.

might as well say F1 is faster than F3000

or say THE SUN IS VERY BRIGHT

    or some other obvious statement

    haha

  • F1 just rules..give up guys..c'est la vie

  • @AndZzo101 Uh no it doesn't F1 SUCKS!!!! LE MANS is where it's at!

  • Even Yamamoto can drive in an oval :)

  • @trestles28 an indy car costs less than 2 million dollars. i'd like to see a 2 million dollar f1 car.

  • lol

even a monkey could drive on these ovals

  • @trestles28 I don't know what you are trying to say, i'm italian, i know everything about F1 and never said indy cars were better, actually quite the opposite, so i don't understand what you are on about. When you talk about "their overtaking ability" who's they? The kers? They(f1) mounted that for only 1 season, there's no more kers now.

  • @trestles28 F1 dont have kers this year, they had it last year and will have it next year.

  • comparing us technology with european developed technology. makes me roll eyes. there's a big difference between thinking you're supreme and beeing supreme :/

  • omg even on an indycars favourite hunting ground, a Super Aguri beat them both..enough said..

  • what a symphony

  • @trestles28 Yeah. But it's good that they are putting restrictions in the F1 series though. Not only does it add to safety but it also makes it a hell of a lot more skill based and competitive. I guess this is what they wanted the whole time in the series.

  • @trestles28 because f1 cars weight 200kg less that indy too! That's like 450pounds, and is a lot.

  • what types cars are racing here?

    f1, indycar and a champcar?
