Some have a cat and muffler combined in one canister while others have them separate. I live in Maryland and mine came with a cat on it. California bikes have oxygen sensors added to them while other states don't. That's the difference. Might wanna get a new career.
I did to mine except I gutted the cat and I'm running a yoshi it made some noticeable top end power but bottomed ends needs a little imo so pc3 would definitely help

hey, straight pipes are dope but they will burn up your valves a lot faster.
gets oxygen into the engine because there is no back pressure, which gives a bigger fire in your top end. not to mention that if you give it any throttle it will just fall on your face. and "first off there in no cat on any motorcycle unless you live in california" in the 07 zx6r there is one still.

first off there in no cat on any motorcycle unless you live in california, second off if you dont rejet/or re-program with a straightpipe then you almost completely lose all grunt on the bottom end and halfway through midrange. third off those bikes will run waaaay too hot if you dont have any type off baffle on it. not saying it dont sound good, just saying theres a lot that comes into play with a straight pipe. i would know...im a mechanic. work at manx cycle in dover nj. swing by sometime
