  • Are you kidding ? Every restaurant in Iowa sells pork tenderloin sandwiches. In fact the Iowa Pork Producers Association gives an annual award to the restaurant they think has the best tenderloin sandwiches.

  • you "don't find them in iowa" because in iowa they don'

t call a pork loin a pork tenderloin! look at the whole boneless loins (from IBP) mr dave is cutting up while calling it a tenderloin. pork loin is not a tenderloin.

  • That dude lied about Iowa...I had some of the best tenderloins in Iowa.

  • I guess I been a spoiled Hoosier all my life.. It's just a tenderloin.. No big deal for us.. Cause we've always had them.. Didn't realize other states didn't..

  • u can too get a good tenderloin in IOWA !!!! called Smitty's 1401 Army Post Rd, Des Moines, IA

and it's ben here for 20+ yrs and we use to have a nother one called porkie's but have ben closed for some time

  • I haven't had one of these in a long time. Need to get one!

  • Outside of Indianapolis there used to be a place called "Al Green's Famous Food" that was renouwned for its pork tenderloin sandwich. The place should have been a national landmark.

  • Daiquiri King in Houston has Pork Tenderloin sandwiches. Taste just like the one's I grew up eating in the midwest. Burgers and fries are real good there too. They're at Hwy 290 and FM 1960 in the Cypress-Fairbanks area.

  • i've been eating at mug n' bun for over 30 years and never tried their tenderloin, i will next time, lol

  • I've eaten at Mr. Daves... grew up in the area, but live in Texas now. A little correction to Dave's statement that Texas doesn't have the Pork Tenderloin sandwich... sorry, Dave, but we have two restaurants in the DFW area that have this great sandwich on their menus!!! If you live near a Culvers, you can get this great sandwich!!

  • I not only grew up in Indiana, I worked at Mr. Dave's through high school and became close to family members. It is hands-down the best tenderloin out there. I met Mr. Dave and his wife, Shirley, in a town in Georgia about 30 minutes from where I now live just to get a cooler full of frozen tenderloins. We will not serve them to just anyone; once my 14-year-old son had a friend over and when my daughters wanted to have Mr. Dave's tenderloins we all agreed to not "waste" them outside of us!
