  • is that him after the broken leg????

  • @donttasemebro81 Yes, a couple of years later. :) I will try to post the actual x-rays if I can figure out how.

  • Man,it must suck to look like him:) People automatically think a broken leg is a death sentence. My gelding shattered his leg roping. He had no surgery. I started to ride him a year after it broke. He never had a lame day after it healed.I also heard God. He told me to listen to the horse. As long as he wanted to fight to live I would let him.

  • Why didn't you get one? He is an amazing horse! Thanks. :)

  • Almost got one of his sons. Great horse.

  • My God, You are sooooo flippin lucky he is alive, let alone running around like it never happened. UC Davis is top class.

  • I'm so happy to have one of his wonderfull daughters with me here.

  • omg he is so beautyful

  • he's such a square horse, but really dead tail carriage for a Khemo son. I would expect more showiness, but I like him.

  • Yes, it was a compound fracture with only 1/2 an inch of skin left attached in the back of his leg. The tendon was in place. The rest of his leg was completely seperated. The lower half of his cannon bone was cut in two. He was treated at UC Davis in Caifornia. Dr. Kelly was sure he would die as did all the doctors we came into contact with. But God had a different plan. The message "give me a chance to prove them wrong" just rang in my head. It was a true Miracle of God.

  • What sort of fracture what's it? I guess not counpound one (open)?

  • @ByzanceStud Yes it was a compound fracture. Completly open. His lower leg was completly removed from his body. I will try to post some xrays.
