I agree with under powered because I played this one and played the first one then and compared and you die way faster in this one which is quite a bit of bull shit b/c your a big daddy and should at least get the health of one. plus your weapons don't kill enemies fast enough in the first one you could just kick ass with a shotgun while wearing normal pants and a normal shirt. both great games just it's weird how your character doesn't have the power and strength of a big daddy.
I thought Bioshock 2 didn't have the eeriness or tension that the first game had, which detracted from it somewhat, but as far as gameplay and combat I thought it was much improved. Don't know why so many people talk about it as falling SO short of the first one. Although the first one was my fave vid game ever.

The visuals are not better than the 1st one, if anything it matches it but is often sub par. It also tears like a son-of-a-bitch, so much so that it looks like 3 different screens sometimes. The protect the little sister gimmick was not a great element in the first one, escort missions are often tedious. But to do use it as many times as it happened in BS2 was overkill and makes the reason for it much more evident, to pad out an already short game.

Got this game a few days ago and i agree totally with this review. Don't get me wrong its a great game but it has lost want made it so good. It all feels the same bar being slower and the plasmids i instantly knew what to do with them. Great game but too samey unfortunatley.

On hard diffculty you take so much damage from everything that its sill so it completely kills the feeling that you are big daddy and the whole level design is just a circle of doing the same tasks, stop here, retrieve item, kill everyone, go back, do it again... also the game lacks the wow factor it had the first time, bioshock 2 is the biggest dissapointment for me this year :(

Just because a lot of people played it (including some immature kids, like any multiplayer game) doesn't mean it's overrated. It might seem overrated to you, but the online was just really great and rewarding, and the offline had a good story and very good controls.
The single player is barely 5 hours long and the game costs around $20 (used to be up there at about $60 at it's peak) That is rougly 15minutes per dollar and by the "dollar per hour" ratio that is a bad game. And the game wasn't nearly good enough for it to warrent being that short. It was merely decent so I would expect a game of 15 hours and upward to get an 8.
Bottom line: COD4 was marketed as a single player game but it was clearly a multiplayer only experiance.
Oh, if you see it from this point of view, I guess you're right :)
But considering how the online multiplayer was good, it was possible to obtain a very good "dollar per hour" ratio. I agree that for someone who only plays single player, it would not be a very good game to buy, but a good rental :P

9 = almost perfect
8 = excellent
7= very good
6 = good
5 = average (can be decent for people who like the series of the game or what it's based on)
4 and under means Gamesweasel didnt really like it, but nothing forces you to try it even so.
So, even for a 5/10, it means it's not a bad game, in contrary to other reviewers in which 5/10 would mean "dont get this game at all"

No. More like a 7.6 but I can live with an 8. Bioshock 1 was vastly overrated as well but at least it was better than something like Halo or COD4.

How is COD4 bad? I loved the game.
Just because a lot of people played it (including some immature kids, like any multiplayer game) doesn't mean it's overrated. It might seem overrated to you, but the online was just really great and rewarding, and the offline had a good story and very good controls.

The single player is barely 5 hours long and the game costs around $20 (used to be up there at about $60 at it's peak) That is rougly 15minutes per dollar and by the "dollar per hour" ratio that is a bad game. And the game wasn't nearly good enough for it to warrent being that short. It was merely decent so I would expect a game of 15 hours and upward to get an 8.
Bottom line: COD4 was marketed as a single player game but it was clearly a multiplayer only experiance.

Oh, if you see it from this point of view, I guess you're right :)
But considering how the online multiplayer was good, it was possible to obtain a very good "dollar per hour" ratio. I agree that for someone who only plays single player, it would not be a very good game to buy, but a good rental :P

I did buy the game, I did play it, I still hate it and if that is somehow interfearing with your enjoyment of the game or this video then you are a retard who is too easily affected. If people having a different opinion than you means they have to "get the fuck out" then you really have some sort of an issue.
