Hi iamlondon. I think you may be misinterpreting HH's comments. He meant anyone that makes comments intended to offend Muslims is wrong, not that any comment that ends up offending Muslims is wrong. Intent is the key. So while saying this verse may offend Muslims, it is fine because that is not the intent. The intent is to state belief. Also, you have to keep in mind that he is responsible for the safety of his children in Christ, whose lives literally depend on peace with Muslims.
Indeed the proper context of that God is Good and he guides those he pleases and for his good work to reach earth - we as humans must make the changes and not solely relying on - religious figures alone.
Man , no matter how or what position he holds is bound to perverse , corruptible and selfish ideologies that benefits them but God knows best.
I believe we all should work together and not cause hatred on earth. Jesus died for our sins so that we may be good again.

@MDIS the islam allah is not the same as the Christian GOD. When islam took over egypt they changed the language to arabic from Coptic (same language as pharos). Muslim would cut your tongue if they heard you speaking the original dialect. Coptic is kept alive in the Churches. islam allah is a liar, a deciever, gives man no free will, etc.... The answer is, the Coptic Orthodox Church is a Christian Church however, the Coptic Church falls under the Orthodox denomination while the roman church falls under the Catholic denomination. Are you sure all popes are good?
Please do some research on the Catholic Popes and their words before you begin to propose such ideologies.
Look at how the 2nd Vatican is making changes to the original Roman Catholic Churches of the Western D.
And the Churches of the Middle East are actually more of the Orthodoxy kind and different from the Western Churches.
Plus - Arabic is the medium.
Allah is God in the Christian Bible unlike the Catholic which denounces Allah as God b/c Arabic
