Very good tutorial buddy. Sound knowledge for either the beginner, the poor tactician or a reminder to those who should know better, but get lazy on deployment as to what they want there units to do.
Awesome tips! I will be sure to keep this video in mind next Thursday at Veteran's night. My only problem is that we usually play on a 4x4 board packed with terrain, which doesn't always agree with my Bike Squads.
A good instructional vid, with neat effective graphics. You covered the salient points and the 3 main rules were well thought out. Future vids could possibley cover refused flanks, horns of the bull and using the terrain.
@chancerNW meh...'dummy deployment'? Might be useful tip if the game alternated unit placement As it is, 'saving your expensive unit' for last is pointless, unless you consider 'last' as placing it in reserve, or somehow outflanking with it. .
great vid mate.. How do you learn how to produce vids like this, for example the test, graphics, music in the back grounds... can you P.M me so I can learn for my site on this??? Cheers
Well ghost I think that the only mistake on the deployment of the blue team was the speed unit and the assault unit. Thats because the speed unit can cover much terrain and the asault could try to gey the nearest objective really fast.
The point is, I think the rhino and the heavy were placed good because the heavy had perfect line of sight to deny the units the objective that was in the right corner and the rhino was in cover behind the assault squad in protection of red heavy team.
Great stuff man! You did a great job explaining this so that even us noobs can understand. And this actually applies to Kings of War very well too! You keep putting stuff like this up, and I might eventually win a game! :D
Fantastic video Link. I am blown away on your video skill mate and the material is very interesting and relevant! Finally some 40k material as well ;)
ps. I Favorited it as i sometimes forget about the missions and focus on killing! Will tape it and listen to it in my sleeps ;)
one thing i have to say is always if possible deploy in cover if you think your gonna play second (or if you have fire warriors scouts etc.)

@chancerNW Thanks for the feedback bud!
Just starting out with some very basic points, but if there's enough interest I'd love to do a bit more advanced stuff. Thanks again :)

Awesome vid, it really nailed down all the main points.
What I find is that half of deployment is just knowing how your own army works, and the other half is knowing how your opponents army works :P
