I think redshirting Gardner would be a good move. He has all the tools but like one of the comment I read stated that he has to adjust to the speed of the college games. I think forcier and Robinson will do fine this year. And I think people fail to remember that forcier and Robinson were freshman last year. Shit a majority of that team last year were freshman and sophomores. Hopefully they learned from there experience last year and play solid the whole year not just a quarter of it

He throws similar to Vince young, but I think he'll rotate in and out with Tate like Robinson did last year. Tate will have the experience to start, but I don't think they have the depth at QB to redshirt gardner, unless robinson improves a lot.

Gardner will have to get used to the game speed of college ball. He won't be able to run around like that as a freshman, they got D-ends that run as fast as he does. Tate did fairly well against the buckeyes, They are one of the top defenses in the nation. even Oregon struggled against them in the rosebowl. Tates arm will the factor for him to start this year.

Forcier is going to be the starter because Gardner needs to adjust to the college game but he will be constantly nipping at Forcier's heels for the job. I believe Gardner will play a significant role - if they do not redshirt him, and I cannot wait to see the offense this year with a healthy Molk, Toussaint, Smith, White, and Shaw all fighting for the starting HB spot and the rotation between the three QBs. Our O will have to shine at the beginning of the season to allow our D to get prepared

UM would be smart to redshirt Gardner for a year and let Forcier try to lead the team next year. Robinson should move to slot. If Forcier fails next year, we have the #1 rated QB to back him up.

@brianblakwood Let's be real. Tate is a better quarterback, but Denard Robinson is anything BUT garbage. Against Iowa, they knew we were going to run him every time, and he still scored a touchdown like that.

He will probably move somewhere else after this year, and will be like a Percy Harvin. Watch Denard is going to be as important as Tate and Devin, just not at quarterback

forcier showed a lot of promise early last season against terrible opponents. as the year went on it became more and more clear he was not the QB of the future. hopefully gardner can come in an take his job away as rich rod has already hinted at

you have no idea about what you are talking about. With the exception of the OSU game, the defense is what choked for us this year. Gardner is not the god everybody is making him out to be. He played like shit in the state final today. Granted his coach is an idiot for running on third and 8 and then calling a bootleg pass on 4th and inches and . I was at the game today and was not impressed. Tate will start and Denard will be put in a wildcat position.

Tate Forcier didnt' make rookie quarterback mistakes against OSU, He's had an entire season to work out rookie mistakes. The mistakes he made were just those of a bad quarterback who doesn't 1. trust his recievers and 2. have the field vision that a good quarterback must have.

Exactly. Look at Matt Barkley. He was supposedly the quarterback recruit of the decade. All the skills, everything you look for, and he was surrounded by a bevy of five-star recruits. Yet his team went 8-4 and he struggled. Very few freshmen have the kind of success people expected from Tate.

Chad HEnne, of course, is an exception, but consider that he was throwing to three future NFL stars in Braylon Edwards, Jason Avant, and Steve Breaston
