Mx-5 is a marvel of engineering and has earned its place as a classic auto. It brought back the whole enthusiast car market by proving that you cold sell a car that was fairly impractical. If you remember the crappy cars that came out of the 80s (styling or mechanical wise) you will realize why it had such a great impact. Besides it was designed in the US .. based on european roadster specifications for the 1950s to early 1970s. and designed in Japan. BTW I've seen gays driving new Challengers
