  • With a face like yours, it doesn't matter what hair style you have. You always look beautiful!

  • @scrapbook11 Thank you...but no more china doll hairstyle for me la~ :)

  • oh peggy l love ur video. where r u come from? r u from taiwan?=)

  • @Mranthony1106 Yes, from Jhongli Taiwan. :)

Peggy Lee

  • @ happymana

Don't knock the culture thing until you've tried it. And for the record, Asian women are very conservative and not into casual intimacy as a rule. Being "Ladies" and "Gentlemen" for that matter is something that has become rare in the USA. "Gentlemen" typically don't do well in modern American culture so it is hardly a surprise that such would seek out a niche in some other environment. That is what I did. Marriage is still marriage however and only the serious need apply.

  • Wo Hen Ai Ni De Duen To Fa! Sorry I cannot type proper pin yin. I have been improving my Chinese lately thanks to your videos. You look like you are having so much fun! Hao Bang! I have been married to a Taiwanese lady from Neihu for 20 years and am very attached to Asian culture. Dai Wei Jian!

  • @888daedalus zhen de ma, qing wen nimen xianzai zhu zai taiwan ma? ;)

  • God look at those White men, they always seem to be in Oriental countries claiming to have a sincere interest in oriental culture when really they're out to bed Naive ladies.

  • @happymana We live in a very globalized world, without understanding each other there would be much more bigotry today and wars based on "we're better than you". However, men will be men and that applies to all countries.

  • Nice video.Peggy. I wonder how come chinese nationality could come to Taiwan. Maybe I am wrong but something like that three years ago was not possible. I have nothing against chinese, I just got interested in this issue.

  • Thank you for making that clear!

  • Thanks! love the haircut. I wish they had the option to teach Mandarin when i was in high school. but your videos help =)

  • @tabbk99 Thank you for watching! :)

  • Love the video! Great practice. But but I think you look much better without bangs.

(You seem to have a very open personality and bangs make you look a bit shy). Don't mind me though -- I started growing my hair long because it's the trend in Japan but cut it because I have a short hair personality.

  • @yuiarakaki

Hola from Spain! I know David too (from Twitter) ..looks like a fun tweetup! I just subscribed to your channel, hope you can join ours! Looking forward to meeting you when our world tour gets us to Asia next winter! Thanks for helping us with Chinese!

  • @soultravelers3 Thank you! Look forward to another Taipei tweetup. ;)

  • Ah! So this is the retroflex you told me about!

Maybe you could explain a bit more about it.

    ;)

  • That Beijing guy needs to watch you how to pick up a girl video. :P And it was funny how you were leading him at the end to agree with you... very persuasive. I was happy I picked up a few words of what you were saying, but not much.

  • @MarkAllendotnet persuasive, really? haha. :D

  • always cute peggy.

its interesting ive heard it was the same also but knew there must be a accent.

people ask me about American & British English with the exception of slang its pretty much the same. cantonese & Mandarin are Very Diffferent, I like the sound of cantonese

& Love the movies but usually watch them in Mandarin first.

  • @Raymasaki Good point! :)

  • Peggy, I am wondering if you could cover retroflex sometime in the future? I watch a lot of Chinese cinema and pronunciations can really vary. Retroflex may explain some of my confusion. Also: Your new hair cut looks great on you! Clearly, David thought so as well. :)

  • Differences in accents is always a fun topic. I'm glad you presented this gathering.

You look lovely. Love your personality.

  • Yes I think the haircut is good too. :D Hehe I understood everything!!! :D 5*

  • I loved the Marcus translation! lol love ya Peggy :) 5 stars!

  • It's nice to see how you guys enjoyed.

I think at 1:07 he was flirting with you hahaha

I would love to go to TW <3

  • You should write something like 'interview with David from Beijing'. Identifying people by their nationality alone doesnt sound very good in English.

  • @KungFoo1 Totally agree! Just changed it, thank you. :)

  • Lovely new hairdo for a lovely young lady!

  • btw nice haircut!

    hong2lü4deng1

  • You guys seem like fun people (-:

Only thing is... it doesn't really help in learning Chinese. The background noise is so heavy that one just ends up reading the subtitles all the time and doesn't even really try to understand everything in Chinese... Maybe it would be more helpfull if you would record with less background noise (a better mic can also help with that) and instead of subtitles, just explain some of the more difficult words.

  • I love Peggy.
