If Logitech upped-the-ante, and made their headphones 99.9% noise cancellation-They would be the best noise cancelling headphones-But they made them 92% noise cancellation:(
The Logitech have great noise cancellation-better than audio technica-Logitech have 92%/22db noise cancellation, and the AT(Audio Technica) are 20db noise cancellation-
I can still hear 5-10% of the low rumble, and his voice was muffled, and these were the QC2, outdated version, and the BOSE QC15 are a lot better at canceling noise!
The best noise cancelling headphones must have been between the QC2's AND QC15's. These have about 85-90% noise cancellation. That is good for one pair of headphones.
I have Bose AE2, and they are really good in my opinion. They are not noise cancelling, but they cost half as much, and do not need battery. The Bose QC15 are awesome at noise cancelling.
Damien342 or whatever, just because the bass isn't thumping so hard you can fell it dosnt mean it's not there. Infact skullcandy makes thumping bass like that to cuver up bad sound quality.
@YouKnowItsMatt its funny that you say that dre's beats are good at bass since most review and at my taste the bass is one of there shit partsit sounds flat
the best all around $17 bucks at k-mart are the COBY cv215 there worth and amazing take from me a sound engineer theese are just as good as bose rich deep bass 110-120db
A friend of mine made his own. He put normal eraphones in and filled his ears with bath sealer, He's had them in for two years now, even got married with them in, cos he can't get them out, Cool
@iplehguitar I have myself the SennHeiser PXC350 (the so called helmet) and their noise canceling performance are far inferior as the Bose Quiet confort 15. However, I prefer my SennHeiser, because they are not as expensive as Bose and they have no overly exaggerated bass surrounding your music. In fact, I can recognize different kind of bass with my Sennheiser. The wire is more robust too.
even though you are hearing much much less, your ears are still picking them up. like a invisable sound that seems to be silent... i don't know, it's just a thought that occured to me. i may be wrong, but i think i'm right... lol.
anybody care to reply with an answer or statement?.......
I am a sound mixer, and i know a lot about audio and sound and i have a question...
Say if you're in a realllly reallly loud room, with a lot ov background noise, and then the headphones reverse the polarity and play them over your song or whatever you are listening to. Doesn't that mean that you ears are picking up The song, The backround noise, AND The Reversed backround noise......
Wouldn't that be too much sound for ur ears to handle? causing long-term ear damage faster then normal?
If your ears were hearing all that noise, you would know it. You're right that there's a lot of energy that needs to go somewhere, but that energy is absorbed by the sources of sound themselves (they heat up ever so slightly). Unintuitive, but that's where it goes.
i got Logitech noise cancelling headphones for my desktop, cost me around $250 but the neat thing is that when the batteries run out i can use them as normal headphones..just doesn't cancel the noise lol..and when i put new batteries its normal headphones and noise cancelling ones =D i love them ..
earbuds are the best,, for those who uses earbuds one lil tip for ya, ,use 2 pads instead of one , , it isolates way more alot of noise and u can hear music so clear ,, ,
I just got the sennheiser pxc 350's and they work great , for £130 i was amazed by the quality, and they still work when the batteries run out )unlike the qc3's
If you want some of the best headphones ever made check out the GRADO headphones.. They range from 50 to 1000$ some of the best quality to ever come out of a headphone iv ever heard. They put bose and pretty much everything else to shame
@Janeshcw yea, no they're not. the senn's are good but they're bulky and heavy like a brick. not good for travel. i own a pair of 450s and the bose qc15. i like them both but i leave my 450s at home for the same reason ^.
did you try all the canceling Headphones available on the market and compare them to each other in the same location ?......NO?...then STFU ! you know nothing !
and cheapest MDR-NC60 is more around $100, that was on ebay, there are cheaper out there but usually in used condition with no case. so stop your BS thx

IMO noise cancelling is a gimmick. It just creates an annoying high pitched humming sound. I prefer headphones with good noise isolation.

it works but it reduces noise it doesn't cancell it
varun009 2 years ago
what's the difference?
Zaziclothing 2 years ago
noise reduction just isolates your ear from other noises while noise cancellation has an electronic part to it
