2006 Dodge Charger R/T VS Charger R/T 1/8 Mile

The new Hemi (2009+ Eagle engine) runs a lot stronger. In the 12's 1/4 mile with DR's and a decent driver. I run with street tires 8.4 @ 83.99 in the 1/8th... pretty much stock 2010 Charger R/T 13.5 stock, in the 12's with a tune and exhaust, add DR's and mid 12's..

i have an r/t my self with just catback,intake,an U.P. tires an i run like a 9.3 9.2...i took the backseat out an i ran 9.2 to 8.9 in 1/8.so it made a difference..others say the sea level hurts there timings..so yea

Not a bad little run... I'd like to see a full 1/4 mile run, but you run where you can. I only have one thing to say to the Pony boys out there... if the 'Stang is so tough, why don't Police Departments use it as an interceptor like they did when it had the Windsor 302? I've seen many a MCSO Charger 5.7L with all sorts of "better" cars pulled over with the driver's face planted onto the Charger's hood... 9.87 in the 1/8th? That translates to about 15.2 / 15.3 in the quarter. I've run a 9.83 in the 1/8th in my V6 Caddy my first ever run, ever. I'm sure you can do a bit better then that. And P.S. Stop magazine dragracing against the bullit. If the guy knows how to drive, You'll be in trouble. This was a bad time for a 340hp stock car. I've run better with 120 hp less. I would suggest that you just keep practicing and have fun.

Well my 08 Charger R/T with CAI, Exhaust and a tune runs 8.60s in the eigth. Before that when it was stock I would eat 80, 90, 00-06 mustangs alive with my 4200lb car and 2.82 rear gears!! A 2001 putang 265hp is a JOKE!!! They should have never produced that piece of crap! When they were making the camaro's and trans am's in the mid 90's to 2000 with 300 hp and over and the stangs were 215hp and the finally 265 hp in 2000 there was no comparison!

@jmcle884 Must be a retarded driver in the R/T. I've raced and owned the shit out of 2.5s, vq30s, vq35s, 5 speeds, 6 speeds, the whole nine yards when it comes to Altimas and Maximas. @Requiem478 The R/T driver is not retarded man. It's a drivers race between the 3.5 Altima and the R/T and really if you are to ignorant to realize it thats fine with me. One thing we have in common is I do not go off magazine numbers either. As for R/Ts owing G37s lol stock for stock, there is a loss of credibility right there. You are really deluded if you believe that last portion. The R/T would have to be heavily modded vs a stock G37 to win.

@Requiem478 Anyway this video proves my point. 1/8 mile in 9.87. Blame it on the driver all you want, the driver is part of the race, if can't drive and lose to bad. Though with Chargers there is no manual so not exactly skill needed just mash the gas and go. If you really want to get into it I can just say sure the Charger wins, its uses a mercedes transmission and other parts, as per allpar it uses about 20% mercedes components. Not even fully domestic :).

@akirasovan You're retarded you can't just use the magazine times. Most people get 5.5's or less for 0-60 with the R/T's, and mid 4's with SRT8s. Stock R/Ts break 13's all the time.

@Brian11493 I love my Charger and what it is capable of, but the bottom line is you will never get past 13.x 1/4 mile in an R/T stock. That Bullitt on the other hand can hit mid-low 12's with nothing but gears and a set of drag radials if the driver is any good. Sad (for us Mopars anyway) but true.
