just to clarify on your lovely lesson, you used the wrong gas constant for PV=nRT, R is actually a different gas constant which is .0821 L/atm*K, just thought you should know that.

They are the same number. You use .0821 if the units are (liters*atmosphere)/(kelvin*moles). You use 8.3 if the units are joules/(kelvin*moles).
