Original was first R rated movie I ever saw. It has such energy and such grit. It made you want to go to NYC and afraid of it at the same time. That movie showed me another world, teenagers I had never seen before. Looking back, sure the script could've used some punching up, but that movie still holds up today. This remake is a TRAVESTY.
