@MAJESTIcag7 I think it is the negative numbers. I am not used to going negative. I auto flip the numbers to create a positive. Idk exactly, I know this math just doesn't make sense to me. My husband says I try to comlicate it. I am searching for a reason why math does what it does.
@AnAngelsKisss I think I got this part. my thing that is getting me is order of operations that is whole numbers equaling a negative number. My Cpat retake is tomorrow @1pm
Thanks so much...I'm 63 and just learning this stuff. You have helped SO much. I have mid-terms coming but was completely frustrated. Thanks to you, I'm going to do get a much better grade. Onward to composite fractions! I'm sticking with you.
thanks FlamingoTel ... the reason i'm fast forwarding is because i've done a few videos about breaking down numbers into their prime factors so for this video its the procedure that was the main part, not breaking down the numbers.
keep in mind that i made a mistake in this video ... see notes on the side... I forgot to "kill a 7 in the brakedown of 35"
Even though this way can get a little messy I think it's a good because you literally reduce it until you can't reduce it any more, which makes the final answer final.Oh yeah Lddstyx, thanx for pointing out that 7, I missed it too. Peace and Thanx
I am confused Chycho, I have a problem of 30/10 (30 over 10) so the answer I got was 2/6 (2 over 6) Is that correct?
AnAngelsKisss 5 months ago
nope, the answer is 3.

In elementary school I learned that we must flip 44/28 as well, or else we wont' get the right answer.
eiriker 3 years ago
thank for the correction. Great eye :)
i'll fix the mistake in the next couple of days. What i will end up doing is changing the -40 to -50 so it matches the answer.
thanks again, and it's really good knowing that the exercises are coming in handy :)
