Prophets have been called by God to speak for Him and to be His messenger. God speaks to these men who are commanded to reveal to mankind His plan of salvation, His will, His character, and His truth. A prophet testifies of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, that He died for our sins, they preach of repentance, condemnation, judgment, sin, and eternal torment. These are the things that prophets of God do, but that T.D. Jakes as a false prophet does not.

Exactly..If your are reluctant to read the Bible because its too hard to read...there are 2 great translations the New Living Translation and the New International Edition. It clears up the misinformation from the King James Version your grandmother read.

Cause believe me you don't want to be reading the King James errors in Victorian English. We are speaking in Contemporary English(slang) so why shouldn't your Bible?

You are right, you know why people don't like Jakes? because Mr Jakes is knowledgeable and that's why the man is blessed. ....man is worthy of his wage. God in return bless him with wealth. I have a problem with haters of preachers, it doesn't matter who. The world has a perception that man of God should be poor and broke...cmon people read your bible!!!!

Big box preachers know how to build their audiences, (congregations) 'entertained' with dramatics and showmanship. It serves a niche in some communities who consider this "church" at its best. Now lay that aside and consider the delusion and dangers of Kingdom theology that most every "bishop-type" is promoting and we have some serious doctrinal issues. And -- has anyone ever heard of Diotrephes and the doctrine of the Nicolaitins?

Can anyone explain why Td Jakes believes that Ruth and Naomi were lesbians? Scripture doesnt say that, so why does Jakes espouse those beliefs?

He doesn't. He was talking about a bond so intimate that in the day that WE are living in it would be misunderstood. How ignorant. The same with David and Jonathan. Have you ever read your Bible? Did you notice that when David heard of Jonathan's passing David wept saying Jonathan's love to me was sweeter than the love of women?

David and Jonathans situation sounds nothing like homosexuality.

For Jakes to say that Ruth/Naomi's relationship sounds homosexual is an out-right lie and is a notion that should not be promoted in our secular "homosexual friendly" culture.

Nowhere in Jakes sermon did he state that he was stating a misconception. He was stating that their relationship bordered on lesbianism.

You are either 1)Stupid or 2)Very stupid... So now you have to be a poor or a middle class citizen to qualify as a "real" preacher?... If you disqualify him from being a real preacher from god because he's rich, then you should also disqualify King Joseph, King David, Job, Jacob, Abraham (father of faith), Issac and many more.. They were all filthy rich and man of God. The bible took the time to describe how wealthy they were.
