jeg indrømmer til hver en tid at vi ikke kan klare os uden jer. det er jeg fuldt ud godt klar over. jeg har ik sagt at vi godt kan klare os uden jer. og desuden så er der en stor del af de færøske unge som rejser til Danmark for at få en udbyggende uddannelse da der ikke er mulighed for det på færøerne.

We fish about 100 times as much per person compared to Denmark and about 30-40 times more per person than Norway. but "only" 20% are employed in the fishery industry.
We are probably the folks in the world who fish most.

The danish politicians want to keep Faroe Islands :) they don´t want to lose us. they get money every time a fly passes Faroese airspace.
The "support" is few percents of our national income depending on how you calculate it.. It´s 5% of the GDP.

It´s a cheap prize to get a hold of a area that actualy is 4 times as large as Denmark. I`m pretty sure that you get some more hidden income from NATO for Faroe Islands.

Faroe Islands contributes with lots of things in Denmark. The danish merchant fleet has about 1/3 of Faroese overmen (captains, machine masters and mates)
There is also many faroese in the danish army!
