I have a Thumper snare I bought years ago. It's not bad, but since I discovered JM Smith drums, I haven't touched the Thumper.

Nice solo, Michael Shrieve is a good friend of mine, we've done some drumming together. You should check out Horacio or Benny Greb or Ronald Bruner, they might get you out of the old school styles into some more modern techniques, which really change the way you play. Lots of toms don't matter if you can do the same with two or three.
