@Desi4evah No she could rent it. If you see the whole case (this is edited here) the plaintiff said she'd be back for her mug and the rest of her things. So the landlady didn't rent the room immediately. When she finally went in, she saw that the plaintiff had left only a mug and teddy bear. Technically, landlord/tenaut law states landlord must wait 30 days before removing items left behind abandoned if the tenaut abandons premises and rent is paid up.
